Chapter 16 Oversleeping
After drinking the soup, Cheng Anyue started to do her homework. The midterm exam was coming soon. She had learned nothing in the first half of the semester, and her midterm exam results would definitely be a mess.
Originally, borrowing Song Chao's notebook might improve it, but now she returned the notebook to him.
Rather than improving her grades, she didn't want to offend people like Liu Xinbei and the others.
Probably because she had eaten and drank enough, or because her psychological pressure was lessened, Cheng Anyue rarely had a good sleep that night, so it was already ten o'clock when she woke up the next day.
Looking at the time on the alarm clock, Cheng Anyue was so frightened that she broke into a cold sweat. She suddenly got off the bed and landed on her feet. She was immediately hit by heartbreaking pain.
She looked at her foot and then remembered that it was sprained yesterday.
But now she was late, she had to hurry up.
She was so anxious that she couldn't care much, so she limped toward the bathroom. After packing her things, she went downstairs.
As soon as we came downstairs, the housekeeper came over and asked, "Miss, where are you going?"
"I went to school. I accidentally overslept today." Cheng Anyue was a little embarrassed. After all, as a student, she couldn't even abide by class time. It was quite embarrassing to tell her.
The housekeeper looked at her in surprise, "But you have a sprained foot. You should rest at home."
"It's okay, it's just a minor injury." Cheng Anyue said and was about to walk out.
"I have already asked for leave for you." The housekeeper suddenly said, "You can rest at home today."
Have you asked for leave? Cheng Anyue looked at the housekeeper in surprise, so why didn't he remind her to go to class in the morning?
The housekeeper looked at her and said with a smile: "You can rest at home now."
Cheng Anyue looked outside and saw that it was almost noon. When she got to school, she would have to catch up with her afternoon classes. After hesitating, she nodded and walked to the sofa to sit down.
"Miss, you must be hungry. I'm going to bring out breakfast. You can use some first and then have lunch later." The housekeeper said and went to the kitchen.
Cheng Anyue didn't stop her. She sat on the sofa, holding her schoolbag in her arms, in a daze.
Not long after, the housekeeper delivered breakfast, and prepared a large bowl of bone soup for her early in the morning.
Cheng Anyue looked at the housekeeper, her meaning was self-evident.
The butler understood and explained: "You are weak, so now I will prepare a bowl of soup like this for you every meal. I believe that after drinking it for a month, your physical condition will get better. In addition, when your feet heal, I suggest you exercise more." It won’t hurt your feet so easily.”
Cheng Anyue blushed. After all, she sprained her feet because she was too fragile.
"OK."
She picked up the soup bowl and sipped the soup in small sips.
After she finished the soup, lunch was served.
Although she was the only one eating at home, the lunch was still very rich. She was a girl after all, so she couldn't eat much.
"Miss, if you are sleepy, please go back to your room and rest." The housekeeper said.
Cheng Anyue shook her head. She had slept until late today, how could she have the nerve to sleep in the afternoon.
It's been so long since she's been in An's home that she hasn't taken a good look at the surrounding environment.
Knowing that Cheng Anyue wanted to go out for a walk, the housekeeper immediately ordered the bodyguards around him to pay attention to his protection.
The Anjia mansion is located outside the city center, but it is not too remote. It is just relatively quiet and the surrounding greenery is also good. As for the area of the Anjia mansion, it goes without saying that apart from the main house, there is about ten open spaces. It's as big as a football field, and there are groves, ponds, and fountains inside the mansion, just like a private manor.
Cheng Anyue left the main house and took a walk around. The weather in April was not too hot. The breeze blew and the sun shone warmly on her body.
After walking around, she found that there were many bodyguards around the mansion. You could see one within a few dozen meters. Coupled with network monitoring, the security measures were evident.
Her foot was injured and she couldn't walk for too long, so she sat down on a lounge chair in the woods. Probably because the weather was so nice, she fell asleep soon.
