Chapter 188 Taking Photos
Harry Potter just wanted to escape now.
Having spent a school year at Hogwarts and having been in contact with the magic world for quite a while, he was somewhat self-aware of his fame, and occasionally he would secretly feel proud of it.
But now, he would rather be just an ordinary little wizard like Ron.
Harry couldn't figure out what exactly was the reason why Colin Creevey, a guy born in Muggle, became his fanatical fan just a few days after he came into contact with the magic world.
Especially this year, there was a big trouble like Gilderoy Lockhart in the school.
So when Colin stopped Harry and wanted to take a picture of him, he wanted to escape after a brief moment of confusion.
Unfortunately, the annoying big-headed Malfoy was one step faster. His loud shouting attracted Lockhart, who was addicted to taking pictures, and then he couldn't escape.
Lockhart's arms firmly fixed Harry's body, making him unable to escape at all due to his shame and anger.
Just when Harry was already somewhat desperate and was about to take another photo with Lockhart, the little angel Fish suddenly emerged from the crowd.
"What are you playing?" (●ω●)
Fish jumped in front of Harry and looked at the camera in Colin's hand.
Fish knew this thing. When he was wandering outside, he saw Muggles using it, but he didn't know what it was used for.
After entering the magic world, Fish rarely saw this thing. Although there were cameras in the wizarding world, most wizards rarely used them. They preferred to be more aware of the magic portrait.
"Fish!" Colin was also very excited when he saw Fish. He screamed and introduced himself, then raised the camera in his hand and asked, "Can I take a photo of you too?!"
"Take a photo?" Fish had of course seen the photo before. He shook his ears and pointed at the camera in Colin's hand and asked in surprise, "So those moving pictures are made with this thing, meow?"
"Yes! A boy in my dormitory said that as long as the correct developer is used, the people in the photo will move."
Colin explained to Fish excitedly.
"Then Fish wants to take a photo, meow!" (●ΦωΦ●)
"Fish shouldn't mind adding me, right?"
Senior Xia Pei, who was a step late, pushed through the crowd and walked to Fish's side with a smile. She was originally going to make trouble for the culprit, but she immediately changed her mind.
Photo with Fish!
Why hadn't I ever thought of such a great idea before!
Xia Pei was annoyed in her heart, but on the surface, she had a warm smile and firmly occupied the position next to Fish.
"Of course, no problem, meow!"
"Bad Cat" Fish certainly wouldn't refuse.
Then the crowd got agitated, and everyone wanted to take a photo with Fish.
Malfoy and other Slytherin students who had planned to watch Harry's excitement were now in trouble. They had laughed at Harry and Colin before, and now even if they were thick-skinned and approached, they would definitely be rejected.
"Humph! It's just a camera. I'll write to my dad and ask him to send one to me."
Malfoy left with a sour face and hurriedly left with his two followers. The rest of the Slytherins looked at each other for a while and then dispersed helplessly.
People from other colleges didn't have their troubles, and they all came forward to ask for a photo with Fish. Colin's fingers were about to cramp when he pressed the shutter.
Gilderoy Lockhart would naturally not miss any opportunity to show off. After the students' noise subsided a little, he let go of Harry and squeezed into the crowd with a big laugh.
"Classmates, classmates," Lockhart showed eight shining teeth and adjusted the brim of his wizard hat, "Don't be too excited, give Fish some space!"
He clapped his hands, attracting the attention of the people around him.
"Those who have taken photos with Fish, come to me. Sir Gilderoy Lockhart, who has won the "Wizard Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award" five times, intends to give you all an autographed photo. This is a rare opportunity! It's not easy for you to get my autographed photo at ordinary times!"
"Sorry," Senior Sister Xia Pei showed a polite and elegant smile and refused: "I don't have the habit of taking photos with strange men."
After saying that, she nodded from Colin, reminding him not to forget to give her a copy after developing the photos, and walked into the castle leisurely without even looking at Lockhart with an embarrassed expression.
Other students who had taken photos also found excuses to leave. They were not interested in taking photos with Lockhart. If they had the time, they might as well go back and show off to the classmates who were not present.
Soon, most of the little wizards in the yard ran away. The only ones left were Harry and his friends, and some who hadn't taken photos with Fish yet. After Colin pressed the shutter at them, they ran away without looking back.
Gilderoy Lockhart's already stiff expression became even more awkward. Just as he was racking his brains to think of something to say to save face, the afternoon class bell rang, giving him a way out.
"Aha! What a pity! It looks like you won't get Sir Lockhart's autographed photo today!"
Lockhart regained his smile and forcibly said respectfully, completely ignoring that there were not many young wizards left around them now, but when he said this, there was a smell of hatred, and he also kept saying this. He glanced at Colin who was holding the camera, hoping that the little wizard would take the initiative to take pictures of him.
However, his approach backfired and made Colin feel the pressure. He shrank his head, hugged his camera and ran away.
"It's time for me to go to the Charms class! When the photos are developed, I will send them to you!"
Harry and Ron on the side were quite uncomfortable holding back their laughter.
But Lockhart immediately adjusted his mentality and returned to his original pretentious state.
"It's such a shame that they missed a great opportunity."
Lockhart showed a regretful expression, then put his arm around Fish and Harry with one hand, and led them towards the castle.
"It's time for us to go to class. This is my first class. I can't keep my lovely students waiting."
"How on earth did he say such shameless words?"
Ron, who was following behind, whispered to Hermione with a look of disbelief on his face.
Hermione, who has always respected teachers, also had a look of disgust on her face at this time. She also lowered her voice and complained: "I read his book during the summer vacation and thought he would be a good professor. He is awesome in the book. Not that annoying."
"Come on," Ron shrugged, "God knows if he made up those stories."
He had a long-standing prejudice against Lockhart. He often heard his mother talking about Lockhart this and Lockhart that. As a result, Ron and his twin brother had already begun to express their disapproval of Lockhart before they met him in person. This person is not very welcome.
Hermione, on the other hand, was as rigorous as ever, "It probably wasn't made up. I've read those books and the contents are quite real."
She still thinks that Lockhart is the real deal, but his personality is a bit hard to accept.
"I said, don't you admire that guy like my mother?"
Ron pointed at Lockhart, who was holding Harry and Fish as he walked further and further in front of him, holding back a weird smile and teased.
Hermione immediately blushed and retorted angrily——
"How could I like such a vain, narcissistic, rude, frivolous pretty boy!"
A series of derogatory words popped out of Hermione's mouth, obviously angered by Ron's groundless accusations.
Frightened by Hermione's sudden burst of terrifying aura, Ron could only laugh and apologize repeatedly.
"Anyway, I'm not a superficial girl who only knows how to look at people!"
Hermione spoke categorically and decisively, and based on her status as a top student, she sounded particularly credible.

Hermione in the original book was fascinated by Lockhart's handsomeness, and for no other reason.
I forgot whether it came from Rowling's interview or Lockhart's additional settings, but it's the official statement anyway.
