Chapter 263: Return
They didn't talk again until they reached the end of the tunnel. Hermione supported Vanlin and went up first. They were in the front. Vanlin pressed his hand on the knot of the tree before the Whomping Willow moved. This was a little secret Sirius told him. So Lupin and Peter Pettigrew didn't hear any crazy shaking of branches when they climbed up.
Black took care of Snape through the hole, and then stepped aside to let Harry and Ron pass. Finally. They all came out.
It was dark on the ground now, and the only light came from the lights in the windows of the castle in the distance. For Vanlin, there was no difference between night and day, but what made him concerned was that it was too dark here and the light was too weak. This was a rare cloudy day for the sky of Hogwarts.
"Is it going to rain?" Vanlin said. A gust of cold wind just blew, and the girl's body trembled a little. They were wearing thin clothes for the night.
"Maybe..." Hermione said, "But I want to go back to the dormitory as soon as possible, at least it's warmer there, and Crookshanks has been locked in a cage all day."
"It's okay, Ginny will take good care of it." Fanlin said. Ginny is Ron's sister, but she still stands firmly on Hermione's side. Regarding the dispute over pets, she thinks Ron has gone too far, and she had a big fight with Hermione and Ron for this.
"I hope so. However, Crookshanks can wander around Gryffindor openly. This is very good news for it."
"But..." Fanlin said, "Before considering Crookshanks, I think we should have a cup of hot coffee or hot chocolate or something. I think this is necessary, so that the body can feel it."
"Okay..." Hermione thought for a while, "Forget about hot coffee. We are not suitable for drinking coffee now, but hot chocolate can be considered."
"Then it's settled. I can inform Dobby when I go back. He is in the kitchen of the house elves now. This is very convenient."
"No..." Hermione refused, "It's late. Dobby shouldn't be bothered. He has enough work. You can try to do it yourself. I can help you..."
"But Dobby..." Fanlin wanted to argue, but after seeing Hermione's unquestionable eyes, he gave up the idea, "Okay, let's do some ourselves."
Soon, everyone crawled out of the secret passage, mainly Professor Snape and Ron. It was always very difficult for the two unconscious people to do such things.
Peter Pettigrew was still breathing heavily, sometimes whimpering. Harry's head was buzzing. He was leaving the Dursleys. He was going to live with his parents' best friend Black... He felt dizzy... What would happen when he told the Dursleys that he was going to live with the wanted criminal they saw on TV! "Just one wrong step, Peter." Lupin threatened in front, his wand still pointing at Peter Pettigrew's chest from the side.
"The weather is good." After Lupin threatened Peter, he breathed a sigh of relief. The castle was in front of them, as long as they crossed the lawn in front of them.
"Yes, the weather is not bad, for you." Sirius said without scruples. Everyone present knew Professor Lupin's identity, so everyone knew that Professor Lupin was more afraid of the starry sky and the full moon. When he was in school, Lupin's astronomy was always bad. Every time the moon was the biggest, he couldn't wait to get to the Ravenclaw observatory.
"We'd better hurry up." Fanlin said with a frown. He finally realized what he had neglected to consider. When he left, he felt that he had missed something. .
"That's right...we'd better hurry up!" Hermione also agreed.
"Okay." Lupin nodded and agreed. He took two quick steps and everyone followed him.
They walked through the venue in silence. The lights from the castle slowly brightened. Snape was still floating forward in front of Black strangely, his chin hitting his chest. Then... a cloud floated away. Blurry shadows suddenly appeared on the ground. The group was bathed in moonlight.
"Oops!" Fanlin said. He saw his shadow, which meant that the moon had appeared. It was still gloomy just now, but the clouds dispersed in a blink of an eye.
The cold moonlight suddenly filled Hogwarts, and the whole world seemed to have returned to its silvery white color of the past, but no one thought that the moonlight was so gentle. On the contrary, the moonlight seemed so cold at this moment.
Lupin, Peter Pettigrew and the others suddenly stopped and bumped into Snape. Black froze. He stretched out his arm, motioning Harry not to move forward. Harry could see Lupin's silhouette. He became stiff. Then his limbs began to tremble.
"Oh, my God--" Hermione gasped, "He didn't take the wolfsbane potion tonight! He's not safe!"
"Get out of the way, Hermione!" Vanlin said a little roughly, and he raised his wand again. He knew that things would not be so pleasant and smooth. He had this idea since Snape's arrival.
"Run," Black whispered. "Run! Now!" But Harry couldn't run. Peter Pettigrew was still handcuffed to Lupin, and if... he still wanted to have a new family.
Harry jumped forward, but Black grabbed his chest and pushed him back. "Let me handle it--run!"
A terrible roar. Lupin's head was stretching. So was his body. His shoulders were hunched. Hair was growing on his face and hands, clearly visible, and his hands were curling into claws.
This was the first time that everyone had seen a werewolf transform. His green eyes exuded a cold look, and Professor Lupin's teeth were exposed. His fangs were very long, much longer than all the wolf fangs that Fan Lin had seen.
Lupin's body became wider and soon he grew as tall as Hagrid. His clothes were completely torn, and his gray-white hair reflected a metallic luster in the moonlight.
Fan Lin did not doubt Professor Lupin's defensive ability at this moment, as well as the unique talent of werewolves, that terrifying healing ability.
It is not unreasonable that werewolves and vampires are ranked at the same level of dark creatures. Vampires are blood and dark magic, and werewolves lose their magic ability after transformation, and are replaced by extremely terrifying melee abilities.
At the moment, no matter what kind of dark creature it is, they are not able to deal with it. (To be continued)
