Chapter 531: Hall
Passing through gates lined with winged boar statues, the car moved along a steep slope, swaying dangerously in the gusts of wind that followed.
Leaning against the window, Harry could see Hogwarts getting closer, its many lighted windows twinkling behind thick curtains of rain.
A thunderbolt flashed across the sky as their car came to a stop in front of the huge oak door, which led into the castle via a flight of stone steps.
Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville jumped out of the car and hurried up the steps. They didn't raise their heads until they safely entered the door and came to the front hall with gorgeous marble stairs where the torches were lit.
"Damn it," Ron said, shaking the rain off his head, "If it rains like this again, the ditch will fill up and I'll be soaked - ugh!"
A huge red balloon filled with water fell from the roof onto Ron's head and exploded.
His whole body was wet and dripping with water. Ron staggered to Harry's side, just as the second water bomb fell - almost hitting Hermione. It exploded at Harry's feet, and the cold water was so shallow that On his socks, everyone around him was screaming and pushing each other to escape the scene.
Harry raised his head and saw Peeves floating 0 feet above their heads. He was a short ghost wearing a hat decorated with bells and an orange bow tie. When he took aim again, his evil face was too Concentrated and transformed.
"Peeves!" shouted an angry voice. "Peeves, come down now!"
Professor McGonagall, the deputy headmistress and head of Gryffindor, rushed in from the hall. She slipped on the wet floor and grabbed Hermione's collar to prevent her from sliding further.
Hermione's body swayed slightly, and she was a little unsteady on her feet. She moved her hands forward, and then she let out a frightening meow.
Harry quickly grabbed Hermione's arm.
Well, it's the arms...
"Ouch! - I'm sorry, Miss Granger, and...your cat..."
"It's okay, Professor," Hermione gasped, rubbing her throat.
"Oh, no, wait, you said, cat?"
"I just saw him fly out of the window," Professor McGonagall said.
"Flying out." Hermione exclaimed.
Fortunately, this is only the first floor of the castle, but it's still raining outside...
"Peeves, come down at once!" Professor McGonagall shouted, straightening her polka-dotted hat and glaring up through her square-rimmed glasses.
"Nothing!" Peeves chuckled as he dropped a water bomb on some fifth-year girls, who screamed and swooped down the hall. "They're already soaked, aren't they? Little guys! Huh...!" He aimed another bomb at a group of second-year students who had just arrived.
"I'm going to call the Headmaster!" Professor McGonagall roared. "I'm warning you, Peeves."
Peeves stuck out his tongue, threw his last water bomb in the air, and suddenly landed on the marble steps, giggling like a maniac.
"Hey, keep going!" Professor McGonagall said sternly to the panicked students, "Hurry up and enter the hall!"
"Quick, let's get Fanlin back." Hermione said, she turned around and ran out of the castle, and then a soaked kitten came in clinging to the wall.
"Oh, no," Hermione said, "Maybe you two can take Fanlin to change clothes..."
Hermione couldn't pick up the cat with its fur clinging to her body.
"Looks like you threw him in the puddle," Harry said.
"Which one of you has a towel?"
"Maybe use a cloak..."
"No, no need..." Fan Lin said, "What you see is just my hair, my clothes are fine."
Fan Lin changed back, and everyone just felt like their eyes were blurred...
"Where did your clothes go?" Harry asked.
"If you can structure yourself, it's not that difficult to make a piece of clothing disappear and reappear."
Fan Lin said, his hair was wet and stuck to his head, looking like it had been licked by something.
"If Professor McGonagall sees it, he will definitely praise you." Harry said, students who have a deep understanding of transfiguration can always be praised by Professor McGonagall.
"This is not a difficult task, but...before that, who can tell me where Peeves is? I also think he needs to experience this feeling."
Anyone who suddenly falls into the cold water in a warm dreamland will not feel comfortable...
Moreover, who knows where Hermione got so much strength, the position just now was a full two meters away from the window on the wall...
"He is a ghost..."
"Believe me, I can do it." Fan Lin said angrily. Maybe he could use magic power to wash away Peeves repeatedly, or immobilize him, and then throw him under the black lake. The songs of those sea monsters have a great influence on the spirit. The body still plays a big role, and they like singing very much.
"I have to interrupt, if I'm delayed, the dinner is about to start, and our clothes..."
"Let's go like this." Fan Lin said, "I can draw out some of the water, but it's just that it won't drip."
"This is already pretty good." Hermione said, the dampness of her clothes making the girl feel very uncomfortable.
"Okay, but it's just a little cold." Fan Lin said, some faint blue light appeared on his hand, and then a translucent water ball gradually appeared in Fan Lin's palm.
"Ron, your clothes are fading," said Vanlin, and the water on Ron's end had a faint black tinge in it.
...
The hall was still as splendid as ever, decorated for the opening ceremony, golden plates and goblets gleaming in the light of hundreds of candles floating in the air, four long tables filled with students chatting, and at the top of the hall, the faculty sat at a fifth table facing their students.
It's much warmer here!
Harry,
Ron, Vanlin, and Hermione slipped in through the double doors on the right.
They made their way past Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and then sat with the rest of the Gryffindors at the far end of the hall, close to the almost headless Nick, who was all pearly white and translucent, wearing his usual tight robes tonight and tied with a bow tie that served the dual purpose of looking particularly festive and ensuring that his head did not sway too much on his partially cut neck.
This is a good decision, it helps Nick look normal, but a ghost is not normal.
Take Myrtle, for example, this ghost is really naughty.
"Good evening." He smiled at them. (To be continued)
