Chapter 19 The Clergy of the Silver Lord

The first thing Annan did after entering the city was not to go to the mayor of the frozen water port to hand over power.

Instead, he took the wounded first and swarmed to the only church in the Frozen Water Harbor.

The other militiamen were not seriously injured, the key was Lyon and Jon - two of them, one was frostbitten by Annan's cold contact, and the other was hit in the thigh by a lead bullet, which remained in the body. Both were in a coma and lost consciousness.

The injuries of the two of them must be dealt with immediately, otherwise there will easily be some life-threatening situations.

Coincidentally, Annan also wanted to see how the church in this world dealt with its wounds...

"However, Lord... We only have the Church of the Silver Sir here."

An older militiaman bravely whispered to Annan: "Priest of Silver Jue, treatment costs money..."

"Don't worry about money."

Annan didn't turn his head back, but said plainly, "Jon was injured to protect the people of Frozen Water Harbor and to maintain my dignity as a lord. When I succeed as mayor, I will naturally pay for him to be cured.

"And Leon... just let him stay awake for a while. There's no need to fully heal his injuries. It won't cost much, right... You do the math?"

"That robber is easy to talk about," the middle-aged militiaman counted on the side after hearing the words, "If you don't get thorough treatment, this kind of injury will only cost about ten shillings. But the gunshot wound...fortunately, it was on the leg, and it will take about ten shillings. Four gold pounds."

Having said that, he glanced at Annan cautiously, lest the overly young lord just said something casually in good face, and became angry when he heard the price.

Seeing that there was no change in Annan's face, he was secretly relieved.

As expected of the earl's child, he is rich and powerful...

But what middle-aged people don't know is that Annan just has no concept of the world's currency and purchasing power.

And it wasn't him who paid for it anyway.

Annan can only be sure that the former mayor of Qianjingshui Port will definitely be able to dig it out.

Because when he was on the boat, Don Juan carried a small wallet with eight gold coins and a dozen silver coins. This should only be the level of pocket money, because considering Don Juan's age, all the money he brought should be in the hands of the housekeeper.

Since the pocket money that Don Juan brought had at least eight gold coins, there was no reason why the mayor couldn't afford it.

Just like what Annan said to the middle-aged man before - Jon was injured to protect the people of Frozen Water Harbor and to maintain my dignity as a lord. Are you embarrassed not to treat him?

If you're mean, then you shouldn't be the mayor at all.

Don Juan was originally going to succeed the lord of the North Sea Territory. The Deep Water Port was only the city with the best infrastructure, and it was the first town he saw after disembarking.

In other words, the territory Annan now holds is not just such a small town. He still has the right to remove at least one mayor.

If the mayor is smart enough, let him break the bank and avoid disaster. If he's stupid, just use this matter to drag him down.

Thinking of this, Annan asked again: "In addition to the injuries of those of you? How much will it cost to deal with it together?"

This complicated mathematical calculation obviously stumped the middle-aged militia.

He turned back and looked at it carefully for a while, his mouth muttering words.

He muttered with a somewhat embarrassed expression: "Probably... how is it..."

"--five pounds and eight shillings plus thirteen and three-quarters of pence... my lord."

The person who spoke was a fast-talking man who was clean and well-dressed: "For your sake, the fraction will be wiped off. Five pounds plus eight shillings, thank you for your patronage."

Annan stopped when he heard the words, and looked back carefully at the person who was speaking.

It was a red-haired young man who looked about twenty-seven. His crimson hair was neatly combed back, and his strong figure of at least 1.8 meters made him look quite oppressive.

He was wearing a white dress that resembled a long suit, and the fabric was very good. And in his chest pocket, he held a rather large silver pocket watch with half of it exposed. The pattern on the pocket watch was identical to that on the silver coin, and the other end of the pocket watch was fastened to his neckline.

But unlike the red-haired man's full-mouthed businessman's tone, the militiamen treated him with great respect. It is more akin to a heartfelt respect for a doctor or teacher than for Annan, which is a mixture of awe and alienation.

They bowed deeply to the red-haired man, and reached out to their necklines and hearts.

"Salute to the silver coin, Lord Louis."

The militiamen said respectfully to the man named Louis.

Louis just took out the pocket watch with a smile, opened it with a snap at the neckline, and responded to them, "May you be loved by the Silver Lord today."

Seeing the morning light reflected by the silver pocket watch, Annan felt that his body felt a little warmer.

And he clearly knew that this was not his illusion:

【You have been blessed by the god of trade "Silver Sir"】

【In the next 24 hours, you are more likely to get windfall】

Simultaneously, such a system prompt appeared in front of him.

... It turns out that it is the righteous god who manages money.

So Annan immediately obeyed his inner thoughts and bowed to Louis equally respectfully.

"Lord Louis, why are you here?"

Asked a young militiaman with a bloody mouth on his arm, who didn't seem to be afraid of the righteous priest: "Don't you usually spend a day in the temple?"

"That's because you're up too late, Alan."

Louis chuckled helplessly: "Every morning after my morning prayers, I will go out for morning exercises. Silver Jue taught us to breathe the morning air often, and diligence will bring wealth."

"By the way, Your Excellency Lewis."

Annan interrupted their conversation: "Look at their injuries first. Jon has a gunshot wound, I think he needs to be treated as soon as possible... The money should be recorded first, let the mayor pay it back, and tell him it's me said."

"I'll take a look."

Hearing this, Louis' face became slightly serious.

He walked to the unconscious Jon, took out a polished silver coin from his arms, put it on his forehead, and flicked his finger lightly.

I saw that the silver coin made a long sound of "Zheng--". Then it blacked out nearly half.

Then he picked up the silver coin and tossed it in the air. The black marks faded away.

And he put the silver coin on Leon's forehead, and also measured it. This time, the silver coins have been hacked by more than two-thirds.

"The injuries are indeed dangerous. I have to take them away first, Lord."

With that said, Louis put away the silver coins, put the two of them directly on his shoulders, and confirmed to Annan again: "This person just needs to rescue him, right?"

"yes."

Annan nodded.

The young militiamen on the side were not afraid, and shouted loudly: "He is the head of the robbers last time! They are here again today, and they were defeated and arrested by the lord! Don't make him feel better—"

An older militiaman next to him quickly grabbed his arm and motioned him not to talk so much in front of the lord.

Annan glanced at him curiously.

The militias... didn't seem to be particularly afraid of him. But this is not because the mountains and rivers here are poor, they have become unscrupulous people who are not afraid of authority. Just because young people are not particularly afraid of authority figures.

But old people don't do that. As expected by Annan, they were still in awe of the identity of "Don Juan".

Is it because of the mayor?

It looks like I really need to meet him.

"Then let's go to the mayor first, please take care of their injuries first."

Annan said politely to Reverend Louis.

Louis was a little surprised to see Annan being so polite to himself.

Immediately, he nodded with a smile on his face: "Wrap it on me.

"In Sir Silver's name—since I've taken the money, I'll do you a favor."
