The Wizard’s Fairy Tale

"Carnation Flower"

Once upon a time there was a queen, and God did not give her a child. Every morning she would go to the garden to pray that God would grant her a son and a daughter.

Later, God sent an angel to her and said, "Don't worry, you will have a son, and he has the ability to turn wishes into reality. Anything in the world, as long as he wants it, he can get it."

The queen told the king the good news. Soon the queen gave birth to a son, and the king was very happy.

Every morning the queen took the child to the garden where all kinds of wild animals were kept, and bathed in a clear stream, and the child grew up gradually.

One day, the little prince was lying in his mother's arms, and the queen was dozing off. An old cook came over and knew that the boy had the ability to turn wishes into reality, so he stole him away and hid him in a secret place. He got a wet nurse to nurse him. Then he killed a chicken and dripped its blood on the queen's apron and clothes. Then he came to the king and accused the queen of being careless and causing the child to be eaten by wild animals.

The king believed it when he saw the blood on the queen's body, and fell into great sorrow. He ordered people to build a tower so high that the sky could not be seen, and locked the queen up for seven years. He did not give her food or water, and let her slowly starve to death.

God sent two angels who turned into two white doves to deliver food twice a day for seven years.

The chef thought: "If the child really has the power to grant wishes and I am in the palace, maybe it will cause trouble for me."

So he left the palace and came to the place where the child was hidden, and said to the prince who was able to speak, "Let yourself wish for a beautiful palace with a garden, and all kinds of things to go with it."

As soon as the child finished speaking, everything was already in front of his eyes.

After a while, the cook said to him again, "It's not good for you to be alone. Take a pretty girl for your company."

As soon as the prince said yes, a beautiful girl stood before him, and no painter could paint her beauty. The two of them play games together and love each other with all their heart. The cook went hunting like a nobleman.

It suddenly occurred to him that maybe one day the prince would wish to live with his father, so wouldn't he be facing death! So he came back, grabbed the girl and said, "When the boy is asleep tonight, go to his bedside and take his sword and drive it into his chest, and take out his tongue and heart. Otherwise, I will I will kill you!" After saying that, he left.

When she came back the next day, the girl not only did not follow his orders, but also asked, "Why did I kill an innocent child? He never hurt anyone."

The chef said again, "If you don't do what I ask, I will kill you."

After he left, the girl had a deer caught and killed, and took out the heart and tongue and put them on a plate. When she saw the old man approaching, she hurriedly said to the little boy, "Lie down and cover yourself with clothes."

When the villain entered the door, he asked, "Where is the child's heart and tongue?"

The girl handed the plate to the old chef, but the prince threw off the quilt and said, "You old villain! Why did you kill me? I will condemn you now: become a black poodle with a collar around your neck." With a gold collar, you have to eat red-hot coals until your throat burns."

As soon as he finished speaking, the old man turned into a black dog with a gold collar around his neck so he couldn't move around. The prince ordered someone to bring red-hot coals, and the black dog had to stuff it into his mouth until flames burst out of his throat.

The prince stood for a while, thinking of his mother, and wondering if she was still alive. He said to the girl, "I am going back to my country. If you will go with me, I will provide you with everything you need."

"Oh, it's such a long way," the girl replied, "and I'm in a strange country, where no one knows me. What should I do?" She seemed reluctant to go with her, but the prince didn't want to break up. , so I hope she turns into a beautiful carnation flower and takes it with me.

Then the Prince set off, and the black dog had to run after him.

The prince came to the tall tower where his mother was imprisoned, hoping that there would be a long ladder for him to climb to the top, and the ladder really appeared.

He climbed to the top and shouted down: "My dear queen, are you still alive?"

The queen replied, "I have just finished eating, and I am still full." The queen thought it was the two angels.

The prince said again: "I am your dear son! You thought I was eaten by wild animals before, but I am still alive. I want to rescue you!"

He climbed down the tower to meet his father. At first he had someone inform him that he was a hunter, and asked the king if there was anything he wanted from him. The king said that as long as he was proficient in hunting, he could catch the game.

At that time there had never been any deer in this country, and the hunters promised to hunt them, and said that they could catch as many as the palace wanted. He summoned all the hunters into the forest, formed a large circle, and left a gap at the end where he stood, and then expressed his hope, and immediately two hundred deer ran around in the encirclement.

The hunters shot one after another, and the prey they captured filled the sixty carts they had brought. This was the first time in many years that the king had caught so much game, and he was so happy that he ordered all the palace to come and have a great feast the next day, and share the game with him.

When everyone was present, the king said to the hunter, "Since you are so clever, come and sit beside me."

But the hunter replied: "Your Majesty, you must forgive me for not being able to obey, because I am just an ordinary hunter."

But the king insisted, "You sit next to me."

The hunter sat down. He thought of his dearest mother, and hoped that the courtiers around the king would mention her and ask if the queen in the tower was still alive.

As soon as this idea appeared, the ceremonial officer said: "Your Majesty, we are celebrating here. How is the queen in the tower? Is she still alive?"

But the king said, "Don't speak of her! Who told her to let the beast eat my dear son!"

The hunter stood up and said, "Dear Your Majesty, I am your son. The queen is still alive, and I have not been eaten by wild animals. It was the evil cook who stole me while the queen was dozing off, and then killed a a chicken and spilled some chicken blood on her dress."

As he spoke, he brought the black dog forward and said, "This is the villain."

He also asked someone to bring red charcoal fire, and the black dog devoured the charcoal fire under the watchful eyes of everyone, until the flames shot out from his throat.

The hunter asked the king if he would like to see the dog restored to its true colors, and then expressed his hope. Immediately, the dog reverted to the chef's original appearance: wearing a white apron and holding a knife in his hand. When the king saw the cook, he hated him very much, and ordered him to be thrown into the deepest dungeon.

The hunter said again: "Father, would you like to see the girl who brought me up? The chef once asked her to kill me, otherwise she would die, but she still didn't kill me."

"I would like to see her," said the king.

The son said: "My dear father, I would like her to come to you in the form of a beautiful flower." As he spoke, he took out a beautiful carnation flower from his pocket. The king had never seen a more beautiful tweed than this. .

The son said, "Let me restore her to her original form now." He expressed his hope, and the flower immediately became a beautiful girl. No painter in the world could paint her beauty.

The king sent two maids and two men to the tower to take the queen to the banquet hall. But the queen ate nothing, but said: "The good God has watched over me while I was in the tower, and he will soon set me free."

She lived for three days, and then died a happy death. On the day of her burial, the two angels who brought her food turned into two white doves and followed her to the cemetery and stayed on her tomb. Although the old king ordered the cook to be mutilated, grief still tormented his soul, and he died soon after. His son married the beautiful girl he brought back as a carnation, but only God knows if they are still alive now.
