Hogwarts: I'm a Model Wizard

Chapter 169 Armored Pumpkin

This busy life continued until Halloween Eve.

When Kyle woke up in the morning, he smelled the sweet and tempting smell of roasted pumpkin in the corridor. What's even better was that Harris announced in the common room that the Quidditch training for the next week was cancelled.

He thought the previous training was a bit heavy, and Kyle and another new team member performed perfectly, so he decided to give everyone a holiday before the official game.

Kyle was naturally very happy about Harris's decision, which meant that he could finally relax a little next week.

And I don't know if it was to cater to Halloween, even a lot of pumpkins were added to the classroom.

In the morning's Transfiguration class, Professor McGonagall used pumpkins as props and asked the little wizards to try to transform them.

Her request today was very simple, anything could be transformed, as long as it was not a pumpkin in the end.

Kyle was still the first to finish, and he turned the pumpkin into a stone statue at the gate of the castle.

Of course, it was a smaller version.

The stone statue took two slow steps on the table, then waved the giant sword in its hand and smashed the pumpkin prop on Connor's table into two halves, with pumpkin seeds scattered everywhere.

Connor was furious. She wiped the pumpkin seeds off her face and glared at Kyle with hatred. Her little white teeth were grinding and creaking, as if she might pounce on him and bite him at any time.

"Mistake, mistake, this is an accident!" Kyle apologized quickly.

He originally wanted to cut the pumpkin, but forgot that the sword was just a figment of his imagination.

Professor McGonagall smiled rarely and teased: "Due to your ungentlemanly behavior, Hufflepuff will be deducted one point. Don't be so reckless next time, and it's also dangerous to do so."

"I know, professor." Kyle whispered.

Professor McGonagall nodded, she glanced at the lifelike stone statue, and continued: "Excellent Transfiguration, Hufflepuff plus eleven points."

Because there is no fixed Transfiguration requirement, it is much simpler than usual, so many people have completed the requirements.

By the time the get out of class was over, the Transfiguration classroom seemed to have become a utility room, with wooden stakes, buckets, pillows... everything.

Among the remaining people, some only completed half of the requirements, and the things they transformed still retained the characteristics of pumpkins.

For example, Ryan, although he turned the pumpkin into the shape of a Quaffle, the surface of the ball was still yellow, and it looked like the Quaffle was covered with a pumpkin skin.

But Professor McGonagall still considered him passed.

As for those who only made a few holes in the pumpkin but forced themselves to become a jack-o'-lantern, Professor McGonagall was not polite at all, and directly increased the length of their homework from one foot to three feet.

It is not a pity to hand in a blank paper for easy questions.

Herbalism class in the afternoon.

Before class, Professor Sprout placed a pot of novel plants that had never appeared in the greenhouse on a bench in the front.

"Armored pumpkin!"

Professor Sprout said with a smile: "Does anyone know what it is?"

Probably knowing that the little wizards could not answer, Professor Sprout looked directly at Kyle.

"Armored pumpkin, also known as iron pumpkin, is hard and often used as alchemical material. The vines can also be used with gillyweed to make a potion that allows people to breathe underwater."

"Very good, Hufflepuff plus ten points!" Professor Sprout said happily.

"Armored pumpkin is a very rare magical plant. Because it is too hard, the way they grow is also very strange.

Every time they grow a circle, they must shed their shells."

She pointed to the flower pot in front of her.

Everyone noticed that there was a yellow pumpkin skin in it that was similar in shape to a wristband.

"Does anyone know what this shell is used for?"

Kyle raised his hand and said, "People usually put these shells on some precious plants to protect them from being destroyed by goblins or other creatures.

This is also the origin of the name of the armored pumpkin."

"Absolutely correct, Hufflepuff plus ten points."

Professor Sprout said, "The shell of the armored pumpkin is the best guard for those fragile plants. Even an adult dragon can hardly bite it."

There was silence in the greenhouse, and the little wizards looked at the plain-looking pumpkin shell in disbelief.

In their hearts, the dragon can be said to be one of the most terrifying and powerful magical creatures.

Even the dragon can't bite it, which is enough to show how hard it is.

The word "armor" is really worthy of the name.

"Then let's continue the class now."

Professor Sprout clapped his hands, attracting everyone's attention, "In addition, I decided to give this pumpkin shell as a prize to the student who performed best in this class."

Everyone subconsciously looked at Kyle.

From Kyle's performance just now, it is almost impossible for anyone to surpass him.

Professor Sprout seemed to have guessed what everyone was thinking. She smiled and said, "I have to remind you that the class hasn't started yet. What I just said is just an introduction to the armored pumpkin, and it doesn't count as part of the class."

As she spoke, she walked around the bench and came to a row of wooden stakes nearby.

"Last week we learned how to fertilize the jumping toadstools, and today we are going to learn how to collect their powder...

You probably haven't forgotten that jumping toadstools are very afraid of noise, and you must be quiet enough to approach them."

Everyone nodded silently.

Everyone wanted the prize. They squatted beside the wooden stakes and carefully stretched the jumping mushrooms with the brushes in their hands, not even daring to breathe.

When the get out of class was over, Professor Sprout was very satisfied. She had never had such an easy class.

No one poked the plants randomly, and no one tried to touch the poisonous tentacles. Everyone was very serious. The most problems encountered before were all gone in this class.

"Today is the best Halloween."

The happy Professor Sprout added two points to each college, and according to the agreement before the class, the shell of the armored pumpkin was awarded to Kyle.

Kyle used a whirlwind sweep that was weakened many times to complete the collection work half a class ahead of time.

After the herbal class ended, everyone began to leave the greenhouse in an orderly manner.

Kyle turned around when he walked to the door, and took a last look at the pot of armored pumpkin in the corner, and then left reluctantly.

He felt that this plant was quite suitable to be a neighbor of the biting kale. If possible, it would be nice to get some back to keep them company.

But unfortunately there was only one pot here, and Professor Sprout was also very strict. He didn't find a suitable opportunity to start in the whole class.
