Chapter 441 The Holiday Begins
It seems that he didn't want to face those letters from parents. Although Madam Pomfrey kept saying that his injury was not healed, Lupin still insisted on leaving the hospital. He went to the office to pack some things and left the castle alone.
Lupin didn't let anyone see him off. Only a dog accompanied him to the carriage.
The office was emptied again, which made many students very disappointed... Just as Harry said, Lupin was one of the best Defense Against the Dark Arts professors.
They didn't care whether Lupin was a werewolf or not. Even if he was, the fact that he had been safe and sound for a whole school year was enough to prove that he would not actively hurt anyone.
But there was no way... they had no say.
"I don't know what kind of person we will be assigned next year!" Cedric said helplessly. It was too difficult to meet a good Defense Against the Dark Arts professor these days.
"Maybe... how about a vampire." Fred said with anticipation.
"A zombie would be good too." George said.
Qiu's requirements were much simpler... as long as it wasn't a Dementor, everything else would be fine.
By the afternoon...
Lupin's guess was right. During dinner, hundreds of owls suddenly flew into the hall, each holding an envelope.
Most of them were ordinary letters, but there were also many red howlers.
They circled for a few times, and when they found that their target was not here, they turned around and flew to the principal's office.
However, these owls did not attract too much attention because the test results were out.
Compared with those howlers, the scores on the transcripts are the most important now, which is directly related to whether they can have a happy holiday.
Cedric got a high score in O.W.L.s, the first in the school. Since the morning, Professor Sprout can always be seen wandering around the castle. Either chatting with Professor McGonagall, or making an appointment with Professor Flitwick to drink at the Three Broomsticks.
Fred and George's grades are also good. Although not as high as Cedric's, they also got some points, enough to shut Mrs. Weasley's mouth.
In their words, the scores don't have to be too high, and you have to leave some expectations for N.E.W.T.
"It's your turn next year." Fred patted Kyle's shoulder with the attitude of a veteran.
George held back his laughter, "Fifth grade is so terrible, I hope you can stand it."
Kyle said nothing, just opened his report card and showed it in front of the two people.
The neat rows of scores made Fred and George feel a toothache, and they closed their mouths decisively.
Seeing the two people's frustrated look, everyone laughed, including themselves.
By the evening, Slytherin's scores still couldn't catch up, which meant that the banquet was held in black and yellow decorations. Hufflepuff's table was the most lively, and everyone was celebrating... This was their fourth consecutive win of the House Cup.
"What a pity..." Mikel sighed, turned his head and looked at Kyle, "You didn't get the Special Contribution Award for the School this year. I thought you could get it for seven consecutive years."
"Your idea is not good." Kyle said with a smile.
It is not easy to win the Hogwarts Special Contribution Award, especially after he won it for three consecutive years.
If the holiday can be postponed for a while, and the truth about Sirius is revealed, Dumbledore may give him another trophy for his attention.
But the school will be on holiday tomorrow, and there is not enough time to make the resurrection potion.
The carnival of the four consecutive championships lasted until midnight, and the Hogwarts Express left the station on time the next morning.
Kyle, Connor, and Cedric occupied a large compartment, and not long after, Qiu, Fred and also came.
George, who came in last, closed the door of the box and asked excitedly, "How are you preparing for the Quidditch World Cup?"
"Everything is going well with the hat!"
Cedric said with a smile, "I met Professor Barbling in the corridor a few days ago, and asked her for some magic pattern formulas that can make those decorations move."
"Professor Barbling!" Qiu was surprised, "You can actually see her outside the classroom?"
As the most mysterious professor in Hogwarts, Professor Barbling basically does not appear in the castle except for the ancient runes class once a week.
Qiu had looked for her several times before, but returned in vain.
"It's also a coincidence." Cedric said, "It was on the eighth floor at that time, and she seemed to have something to see the principal.
How are you preparing?"
"Needless to say..." George took out a handful of fireworks, "After our special improvement, the pattern formed after the explosion can last for ten minutes!"
Kanna and Qiu also took out the accessories they made.
So their eyes turned to Kyle again.
Kyle's main task is badges, which can be said to be something he is very familiar with, and he is very familiar with making them.
All the preparations are in order, just waiting for the day when the Quidditch World Cup starts.
When he thought of this, Cedric couldn't help but say, "I really want to start soon."
"You are right." Fred smiled and said, "But we also need time to make more products, so don't start too soon."
"Just follow the normal time." George said.
The train drove all the way to King's Cross Station. Several people wanted to make some more things at this time, but they really couldn't calm down.
And every once in a while, the door of their box would be pushed open, sometimes by Lee Jordan, sometimes by Ginny.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione also came once.
Ever since Lupin let the cat out of the bag in the hospital ward, they have been looking for excuses to talk to Kyle, trying to get some useful information from him.
But Kyle is not Hagrid, and he won't give them any chances.
The three of them talked about this and that for a long time, but in the end they didn't get any information at all, so they could only leave the box dejectedly.
Not long after they left, Neville came again...
After writing the magic pattern incorrectly three times in a row, Fred simply put away the things for making fireworks and took out the crackling exploding cards and wizard chess.
"Don't play in the corridor, go back!"
Percy's voice came from outside, as well as a messy sound of footsteps.
"After the train arrives, he will no longer be the head boy of the student union." Fred turned over his cards and said with a smile: "He probably wants to have another try."
"Percy graduated." George said excitedly, "I can't imagine how happy school life would be without Percy."
"This is the first time." Fred blinked, "We will look forward to the start of school on the holiday train."
Amidst the noise, the train finally drove into King's Cross Station.
