Hogwarts: I Really Don't Want to Be a Wizard

Chapter 25: Saving Harry, Filch Is Overjoyed

Under Dumbledore's reluctant eyes, Gretel took the new notebook away.

The night at Hogwarts was not peaceful at all, except for Filch who was patrolling everywhere, and his pioneer Mrs. Norris.

There were also little wizards from all grades in various colleges who could not sleep at night.

God knows why after a day of study, they were almost like zombies in the morning.

Why at night, the little wizards were like new engines, and they enjoyed night tours.

The most outrageous thing was that the little wizards of Hufflepuff actually took food for night tours, and their comfortable expressions were like they were having a picnic in the wilderness.

Only when they heard footsteps did they step sharply into the dark corners.

They could avoid Filch, the dud, but they could not avoid Gretel.

Whenever Gretel looked meaningfully at a dark corner, he could always hear a soft shush.

He was not interested in being Filch's accomplice, but just missed the wizards who were wandering at night with a smile on his face.

In order to prevent Filch from making things difficult for him, Dumbledore even sent Fawkes out to hover over Gretl's head.

There is no doubt that Filch, the gatekeeper of Hogwarts, is so open and honest in his malice towards the little wizards, and never hides it.

Even in order to accommodate Filch, such a big Hogwarts does not allow little wizards to use magic in the corridor.

Sometimes Gretl even wonders if Filch saved the life of a Hogwarts principal, or if his background is so powerful.

It is so ridiculous that a wizard school can accommodate a squib like this.

It is really ridiculous.

In such a late night, in the castle of Hogwarts, only Gretl, with a phoenix on his head, is swaggering and strolling around without paying attention to others.

If he didn't like to cause trouble, he would have brought Fawkes to Filch to see his disgusted expression.

If Hogwarts had a ranking of the most hated creatures, Filch would definitely be elected with a high vote.

Peeves, who always stirs up trouble, and Snape, the poisonous headmaster, are not even close to Filch.

Turning a corner, Gretel saw two familiar figures hiding in the corner.

Bright red hair, undoubtedly, the characteristics of the Weasley family.

Another small figure, wearing a retro black round frame, with half-long black hair, always looks like he can't wake up.

Harry Potter and his good friend Ron Weasley.

The two people huddled in the corner carefully, breathing rapidly, and poking their heads into the corridor, seemingly avoiding something.

Gretel believed that this must not be their first night tour.

The action of poking their heads out and looking around was really too skillful.

I wanted to avoid them, but this corridor was the only way back to the tower.

"Ahem~"

The voice from behind scared the duo so much that they were shocked, and they didn't even have time to observe the corridor next to them.

Ron Weasley grabbed the wall stiffly, not wanting to face the fact that he was caught.

It was not until Harry, who had the courage to turn around, pulled him several times that he let go of his fingers that were ravaging the wall.

"Gretel, hide quickly, Filch's cat is coming." Harry called out.

Very kind, not bad, Gretel gave Harry a few points in his heart.

To be honest, he had long been unable to bear Hagrid's pulling, and every time he went to Hagrid's hut, he would always have to listen to his regretful complaints.

"You are really too busy. Harry mentioned you every time he came, saying that you were praised by the professor again."

"Harry said that every time he went to Potions class, Professor Snape always used you to attack him."

"Harry also said that you really don't like him. He can feel that your attitude towards others is different from that towards him."

"Gretel, Harry really wants to make friends with you."

"Harry said that he was detained in Professor Snape's office this week. Professor Snape said that he was not even as good as a troll."

...

Anyway, it was Harry who said it every time. Harry said that Gretel had rarely replied to Hagrid's letter because he had been trying to create opportunities for the two little wizards to meet.

But Gretel really didn't want to get on the ship. Getting on the ship meant that he would definitely confront Voldemort.

It would be fine if he was alone, but there was a whole orphanage behind him.

Whether it was the people in the orphanage or the pastor who often delivered supplies to the orphanage.

In front of wizards, they had no power to protect themselves.

If there was a possibility that the people in the welfare home might be in danger, even if there was a one in ten thousand possibility, he would rather not make this friend.

Fawkes, who was out cruising, also rushed back. With a flash of fire, he appeared on the back of Gretl's head.

Ron and Harry widened their eyes, looking incredulous.

Gretl certainly knew what they were thinking. They must have thought that this was Filch's new helper.

"Fawkes, Dumbledore's, um~ Dumbledore's partner."

Gretl's explanation obviously satisfied Fawkes, and he fell on Gretl's shoulder and rubbed him a few times.

"What are you doing?"

Harry's eyes lit up, and he was about to tell them their purpose, but Ron reacted and pulled the corner of his clothes.

The words that came out of his mouth were stuck in his throat.

Ron's eyes rolled, "We are just exploring, yes, exploring, George and Fred made a bet with me.

They said there are many secret passages in Hogwarts, I definitely can't find them, I'll pull Harry out to help me find them."

Grete was too lazy to expose their lame excuse, shrugged, "Okay, then I'll go back first, I wish you a happy adventure.".

Harry hesitated to speak, his bright pupils dimmed.

"But you must be careful, don't run into Filch, he likes little wizards like you to make mistakes the most."

Grete's polite concern made Harry happy instantly, and his small round-framed glasses curled up along with his eyebrows.

He didn't notice that Ron's mouth corners fell slightly.

Grete didn't intend to follow them on a night tour, so he said goodbye politely and prepared to leave.

"Meow~"

Accompanied by a shrill cat cry, Mrs. Norris, with interlaced patterns and dark fur, appeared in front of the three.

"It's over." Harry and Ron looked at each other and ran in the direction where Grete came from.

Harry turned around and called, "Grete, run, Filch will be here soon."

Grete didn't move his feet, took out his wand, and pointed it at Mrs. Norris's back.

"All petrified."

He turned around and smiled, saying, "Run quickly. With Fawkes here, Filch can't do anything to me."

Fawkes responded with a cry, indicating his affirmation.

Harry took a deep look and ran away with Ron.

In just one minute, Filch ran over panting.

Gretel believed that he must have not caught a little wizard for a long time, and his haggard face was full of uncontrollable joy.

Until he saw Mrs. Norris, who was as stiff as a sculpture, and his beloved cat who had been with him for who knows how long.

"How dare you!"

Filch was like a demon crawling out of hell, and the voice squeezed out of his throat was full of resentment.

Especially, the culprit in front of him, with his hands on his chest, chest and head held high.

Facing him as the gatekeeper, not only was he not afraid, but his face was full of a sense of pride that was eager to try.

He recognized this little wizard, Gretel, the most famous person in the whole Hogwarts this school year.

Even Harry Potter, who defeated the mysterious man, is not as famous as him.

He has imagined more than once what kind of punishment he would use if Gret fell into his hands, which would cast a shadow on him for life.

But there has never been a chance. It can be said that Gret is the most obedient little wizard he has ever seen, and never casts spells in the corridor.

He has never even played in the corridor, which is not like an eleven-year-old first-year wizard at all.

Every day, apart from classes, there are library, dining hall and his dormitory Ravenclaw Tower.

There is no handle at all.

He had given up, who would have thought that there would be such a big surprise tonight.

Small Theater

Filch: Gretel, you finally fell into my hands. One point for staying out all night, one point for casting a spell in the corridor, and one hundred points for cursing Norris.

Gretel: What kind of curse is this? Let me show you a real curse. Avada~ (from the true biography of Professor Voldemort)

Filch (running wildly with Mrs. Norris in his arms): Just wait, I'll go and ask Dumbledore.

Gretel (the tip of his wand glows): Tsk, coward, with this level, you still dare to stare at me viciously every day.
