Warhammer: In the Name of the Emperor

Chapter 166 Storm of Destruction: Daily Life in the Demonic City

The thick clouds are turbid and chaotic, and the atmosphere swirls above the planet. From space, these air currents are like whirlpools in the atmosphere, rolling up the stormy waves. The clouds sweeping in from all over the planet cover the sky and the sun, completely shrouding the planet in darkness.

There is also light in these darkness. Psychic lightning flashes in the air from time to time. These lightnings light up the sky like thunder before a storm. Blue, purple, scarlet, and green lightnings keep echoing.

Every time the lightning moves, it will bring a brilliant brilliance. Those lights flicker in the clouds and on the gray background, painting a bright color on these monotonous and boring skies. That is the power of the four evil gods, showing their power on this land.

Blue lightning flashed by, and the lightning appeared from the east, instantly infiltrating the power from the Tzeentch Demon Realm into the sky. Suddenly, everything turned into a strange blue color. There were pairs of eyes flashing in the clouds, and the thousands of laughters of the Lord of Change echoed.

Those laughters came from different people, men, women and children, or old people, and even many voices of species that humans had never known. Those voices mixed together like chaotic thunder in a storm, like a bad symphony party.

A thunder eagle roared down from the blue clouds, breaking through the clouds, and appeared in the color of Tzeentch with a burst of electric arcs.

The thunder eagle adjusted its flight angle up and down, avoiding the subspace wind blowing from the Tzeentch Demon Realm. One by one, the suspended stone islands that were constantly changing irregularly floated in the air. Those islands were large and small, scattered like meteorite belts, and the thunder eagle kept passing through them and flew downwards.

Suddenly, another lightning flash appeared from the right. The lightning was purple, and it suppressed the color of Tzeentch in an instant. The ghostly purple swept over, and the subspace winds from the Slaanesh Realm blew into the clouds, turning everything into the style of Slaanesh.

The islands began to appear with wriggling tentacles and purple-red land. A large number of enchanting plants grew out of them, as if they appeared in an instant.

Various kinds of lightning flashed continuously, and each flash meant a change. The sky and everything in it also changed their appearance at a high speed, twisted, and chaotic.

The Thunder Eagle flew towards the crack between a floating island. The fight between the evil gods had shattered many islands here, and that was one of the torn islands.

The end of the fighter jet ejected azure flames, and it flew at high speed towards the narrow crack between the islands. A scarlet lightning flashed through the sky, and the fire of Khorne suddenly appeared from an unknown corner, burning all the plants cherished by Slaanesh, and turning everything into the appearance of the Khorne wasteland.

The island also changed in the blink of an eye, with waterfalls of blood pouring down from its peaks, and piles of skulls piled up on the scarlet land, piling up into hills.

The Thunder Eagle turned sideways and whizzed through the cracks between the scarlet islands. It passed through the fragmented floating island and pulled the long tail flame downward.

The Thunder Eagle swooped out from the end of the cloud, and the tail flame of the fighter jet shone in the air, pushing the chaotic subspace vortex of the Thunder Eagle principle. A green lightning flashed across, and the power of Nurgle turned it green again, and soon it might turn into another color.

It is difficult to fly over there. Only the best pilots in the galaxy can fly over there. If you are not a demon and do not know how to reach the surface by teleportation, then you can only do this.

But this extremely dangerous crossing operation has come to an end. The Thunder Eagle flew over the clouds with flashing lightning above and flew over this huge and extremely chaotic city.

The fighter turned in front of the giant floating island rising in front of it. On the floating island was an independent urban area. Black high-rise buildings rose from the ground, and all kinds of weird architectural shapes were filled on it.

This city is like this. It is composed of suspended floating islands of different sizes and the cities on them. The cities are tied together by thick iron chains to prevent the city itself from falling apart in the storm.

The Thunder Eagle flew through the airspace between these suspended cities, and the fighter flew to a twin floating island located on the east side of the city. Here is a pair of twin floating islands separated in half in a crescent shape, with countless broken stone belts and chains to stabilize it.

The fighter plane whizzed over these thick chains and found a helipad in the left part of the Twin City. This is a take-off and landing place built on the edge of the city. It doesn't look public. There are a few tenant shuttles and ships parked on the sunken parking positions.

An old administrator with one eye, wearing an eye patch, his left leg completely turned into some strange crab-like limbs, and his right hand symmetrically turned into a signature came up. He looked at the Thunderhawk that was slowly landing.

The airflow ejected by the plasma thruster made the sand and dust roll here. The old administrator raised his pliers to block in front of him. He then looked at the Thunderhawk that landed steadily. The flames of the thrusters gradually cooled down as the landing gear landed, and the landing hatch opened.

The old administrator, who had been severely mutated, looked at the people who walked out. A beautiful succubus walked down. Her clothes were as revealing as always. The low-cut bra made people imagine. The little fabric of the clothes was better than nothing.

Her lover, the human male holding her hand, looked slightly more normal. He had no eye mutations, and it seemed that he had just been tricked by the succubus to come to the Eye of Terror.

He was wearing a black coat, with a striking bolter and chainsword hanging on his waist. Judging from his attire, he looked like an imperial traitor. There were many defected imperial people, soldiers, captains, nobles, scholars, etc. here. It can be said that if the Imperial Inquisition came here, their eyes would definitely shine.

The old official looked at the two Astartes who walked down behind them, the World Eater in red armor, and a fallen angel in a gray robe and a knight's sword.

"Stop the ship and hand over 20 soul crystals, or one or two large ones." The old administrator said, and the succubus casually threw a bag of jingling crystals to the administrator. The old administrator held the bag with his pliers and opened it with his only pair of human fingers.

There were many blue crystals flashing in it, and the soul luster in it was clearly visible. It seemed that the soul was of good quality.

The succubus let go of her lover. She walked to the old administrator and held his scale-covered shoulder. She whispered in his ear, "Watch my Thunderhawk, or you'll be ready to have a chat with that big guy."

The old administrator followed the succubus's eyes and saw the tall World Eater standing there with a chain saw axe, looking at him with a pair of ferocious eyes. He knew that Khorne demons didn't like "chatting"

"I know, go do your business." The old administrator said, putting the crystal in his arms. He walked towards the Thunderhawk with a strange posture. The succubus also took her lover's wrist again and waved slightly to signal the two traitor space marines to follow.

They walked onto the streets of the city, which was as chaotic as the city itself. Strange crystals growing from the ground, magma flowing in the ditches, or Nurgle's pus, and strange buildings standing in a way that was completely inconsistent with physics, and their walls were illuminated by the colorful light that kept flashing above their heads.

There are many demons, traitors and heretics coming and going on the streets here.

Demons from the four gods come and go here, bloodletters carrying axes from Khorne, scholars with deformed robes from Tzeentch, revelers with revealing bodies from Slaanesh, and walkers from Nurgle with festering bodies and swollen pustules.

In addition to these pure demons, there are many mortal traitors, traitors from the Empire, the Eldar, and even various alien races are also active here, most of them have different degrees of mutation.

It is hard to believe that these incompatible believers of the four gods did not fight, they traded, came and went, and had fun here, especially those believers of Slaanesh.

Vito could see succubi moving around on the street from time to time, they solicited guests and entered the clubs flashing ghostly lights to revel. Vito saw many people go in, but not so many came out.

The demons of Khorne were carrying weapons and moving between the blacksmith shop, the weapon shop and the butcher shop. Vito himself watched a tall Khorne demon throw the remains of a Chaos beast of who knows what in the butcher shop, and then the vampire butcher among them drew out his machete and began to cut it into pieces.

"What are we doing here?" Vito asked, dodging a bloated Nurgle demon sideways. The pustules on his body were extremely smelly, and Vito didn't even want to get close to him.

"The temple we are going to belongs to Tzeentch. The characteristic of that old bastard is that he changes all the time, so his temple is the same. The location of that place is not fixed at all, but appears randomly all over the planet, so if we want to go in, we need to find someone locally who knows how to find the location where it appears."

"And you happen to know, right?" Vito asked, Lilith took his arm, and she punched down a mortal traitor who almost hit her. The man got up from the ground and cursed at Lilith.

But when he saw the gray-robed giant passing by, he shut up. Lancelot and Ragnar followed Lilith and Vito in disguise. They were still calm in facing everything around them, and their weapons were always ready to fire at any time.

"No, but I know one of my men knows." Lilith shook off the blood on her hands, and Vito looked at her and raised his eyebrows slightly, "Your men?"

"Hmm, succubus, you know, there are two places in every city that are most informed, one is the tavern, the other is the brothel, and the latter is exactly our place." Lilith smiled and looked at her nails, the long nails, the sharp claws were as sharp as bayonets.

"People always say a lot after a happy time, and we are the listeners." Lilith said, and Vito turned his head to look at a vampire who was thrown out of the door, his head was completely split open.

"Kill all those Slaanesh bitches!" an angry voice shouted, and the bloodthirsty demon of Khorne rushed to the gate of the brothel waving his battle axe, followed by a large group of mortal traitors and demons.

They rushed into the bloody gate and started a fierce battle with the Slaanesh demons inside.

"Well, it's not here, right?" Vito pointed to the luxurious building called "Palace of Pleasure" in front. Lilith smiled and waved her claws. The long claws turned into long and sharp blades. She rushed up and cut a vampire into pieces.

Ragnar and Lancelot walked behind Vito, both of them looked at Vito, who sighed and drew out his chainsword, "We have only been here for 20 minutes, and we have encountered a dead scene."

Vito nodded slightly, Ragnar and Lancelot strode forward, blood began to splatter everywhere, and Vito also sighed and joined the daily life of the warp.
