Warhammer: My Mother Sanguinius

Chapter 33 Heaven Opens Its Gates, and the Grace of the Human Emperor Descends upon the Red Earth World (Please Read On)

Kano charged at the forefront of the battlefield.

All he saw was scarlet.

The ground was covered with corpses and burnt vehicles that were scrapped.

Various crudely made fortifications.

There were also irregular pits formed by the explosion of gunpowder.

Boom!

A ball of fire exploded not far from his side.

Kano rolled with the help of the shock wave and hid in a sunken pit not far away.

The pungent metallic smell of the scrapped promethium engine, the bloody smell of the burning corpses, and the sulfur smell of the carrack gunpowder mixed together.

It filled his nasal cavity at once.

The thunderous roar of artillery fire came from every corner of the battlefield.

He suspected that his ears had become deaf.

Any sound coming from the surroundings seemed particularly far away.

He struggled to raise his head.

The ruins of the city were less than two hundred meters away from him. Mutants with bat wings on their backs swooped down from the railroad tracks surrounding the city, roaring and attacking with their claws.

Ta-ta-ta!

Kano fired three precise bursts.

He tore off the wings of three mutants, watched them fall from the sky in fear, and smashed into pulp with a puff.

Kano grinned, his chest full of hearty pleasure.

Swish!

A dark beam shot out from the fortress at an extremely fast speed, but without a sound.

The cold and dangerous beam spread like a venomous snake.

It didn't touch the ground, but the mud and sand soaked with blood tore through layer by layer.

A straight gully was drawn between the defense line, the defenders, the armored wreckage and the attacking forces, and finally there was a roar that shook the earth.

The huge shells dug countless holes in the steel, and the plasma turned the rocks into boiling atomic fountains.

In the plasma-filled radiation cloud, he saw the torn corpses being lifted up.

"No!"

Kano screamed in pain.

He saw the bloody faces of his friends and companions among those corpses.

Crack!

The thick artillery in the fortress turned again.

It was ready to fire in the direction of the densest crowd, regardless of friend or foe, just to kill and please the evil god.

"Damn bastards!"

Boom!

Kano raised his hand and mobilized all his spiritual energy.

In anger, the lightning he threw was red and spanned a distance of 100 meters.

The heavy beam generator from the Old Night Era in the fortress instantly overheated and overloaded, and then turned into a huge fireball. More than a dozen mutants were ruthlessly engulfed by the overflowing plasma and turned into charred and smelly corpses.

"Charge, charge!"

He saw Radoron passing through the mud and sand pits that melted into magma.

Everything was bathed in fire.

There was no place that was not melted, and the ground was a mixture of steaming blood and mud.

Radoron roared like an angry lion and rushed into the mutant army, firing bombs, chopping with swords and axes, harvesting the lives of the enemy like a black whirlwind, tearing a bloody gap in the defense line.

"Kill!"

The excessive release of spiritual energy made Kano's body exhausted.

There were dull pains in his head, as if something was constantly rolling and stirring.

But he had no time to rest.

Charge!

He rushed directly and violently through a burning wall of fire, his exposed skin was full of blisters, his hair was burnt, and his red and swollen scalp was exposed.

Blood flowed from his eyes, nostrils, and ears, and his internal organs were injured by a subsonic bomb.

He followed Radoron, and more and more companions appeared beside him.

Victory!

It's about to be caught!

Completely destroy this filthy city and kill every mutant in it!

Crack!

First there was a crisp sound.

Kano's fighting rhythm was interrupted, and he raised his head in a daze.

In front of him was a huge steel ruin, which might have been a large shopping mall in the past. Now only mottled steel frames and some dusty glass were left.

At the moment the sound came.

The glass shattered, then rapidly bulged outward and exploded.

Flames gushed out of the broken building, and the walls were destroyed by an irresistible violence.

A huge metal tower, more than 30 meters high, roared out of the building, like an axe smashing a shield.

The monster was as tall as the wall it leaned against.

Electric arcs flickered in front of it, and oily vortices swirled around it.

Its front was covered with huge bronze faces, stacked layer by layer, a total of seven, as strange as totem poles in the barbaric world. They screamed, and what came out of their mouths was not tongues, but continuous beams of light from heavy artillery, leaving melted lines on the wall.

Behind Kano, a wall of fire shot up into the sky. The dazzling light and high temperature drowned everything.

Kano opened his mouth wide.

He was almost completely deaf, and the despair in his heart was more painful than the scars all over his body.

This monster should not exist in the world. Such a huge body should have completely crushed the steel skeleton inside.

But it appeared alive in front of him, with a twisted face on the tower, mocking the weakness of life.

Its huge shovel pushed the ruins flat and crushed forward.

It ruthlessly harvested life.

Then - boom!

A huge explosion woke Kano from despair.

An angel appeared!

She fell from the sky, with scarlet blood and charred bullet marks on her wings, and a beautiful face with intoxicating anger.

It was just a clean and powerful dive.

The metal bulletproof coating on the top of the tower was torn apart, and the mutant hidden in it was crushed by unimaginable power, turning into a scarlet sandstorm.

Boom!

The top tower burned and exploded.

The contaminated steel twisted and exploded, and the huge face was full of pain.

Kano even heard the howl of the monster.

The angel continued to charge down, invincible.

Layer after layer of metal towers were crushed and swallowed by the exploding ammunition.

The blue-purple ionized gas mixed with bloody smoke spewed out from every open shooting hole.

The monster was wailing.

Struggling violently, waving the giant metal arms on both sides randomly.

It no longer fired at the pure-blooded people, but turned around under the punishment of the angel.

Dust billowed all the way, more than a dozen fortresses were torn apart by black lasers, and hundreds of mutants were crushed by this force.

The tortured war machine moved forward a thousand meters.

A broad road leading directly to the central fortress was laid out in front of Kano, with blood flowing on both sides and incomplete bodies of mutants everywhere.

Boom!

The last explosion came from the machine itself.

This rotten metal monster was engulfed by fire, and the metal was incinerated in the acetylene flame.

The figure of the angel rushed out of the boiling smoke and leaped into the sky.

At the end of the battlefield, in the palace transformed from the square, an old man in a scarlet robe held a scepter, and his skinny face was full of neurotic madness.

"Your rule is over, monster!"

The angel stepped on the old man's body, and the irresistible force forced him to kneel.

With the posture of an executioner, out of sacred and righteous revenge!

The moment of judgment has come!

The knife rises, the head falls!

The era of old night ends, and the era of light arrives.

Kano seemed to be struck by a huge electric current, his brain went blank, and he almost forgot to breathe!

After a long time, he heard cheers.

The cheers like the tide rang out.

From inside to outside, it lasted for a long time.

Kano was about to join this grand celebration, and then he felt something wet falling on his face.

His first reaction was blood.

But it was not the case. The liquid was cold and not as viscous as blood.

Then the second drop, the third drop, a dripping transparent liquid fell from the sky, with an intoxicating touch.

"It's - rain!"

It actually rained on Bashar II, which was something that had never been imagined.

The last record was the golden age ten thousand years ago.

Some common sense has been overturned.

He raised his head in a daze.

Then -

He saw unimaginable creations and glory that was difficult to describe in words.

Heaven opened the door, and the grace of the human emperor descended on the red earth world.
