Chapter 18 A Penny Can Make a Hero Fall

Smoothly entering the patio of the Leaky Cauldron, Li Buying muttered while hitting the right bricks: "Count three on the top of the trash can, and two horizontally..."

Bricks kept falling apart, and Li Buying walked into Diagon Alley with a normal expression. A long cobblestone street appeared in front of him, surrounded by all kinds of peculiar shops.

Finding the tallest white building among the buildings, Li Buying quickly walked over there, and the capitalized words Gringotts were printed above his head.

Walking in calmly, Li Buying went straight to the goblin of Gringotts, raised his hand and knocked on the table, and took out a stack of banknotes from his pocket: "I'll change money."

The goblin at the counter looked over and saw Li Buying, took all the banknotes in his hand, converted them a little, put the gold coins in the gold coin bag and handed them to him, and said without looking up: "The conversion ratio between pounds and galleons is 5:1, see if it's correct."

The boy opened the bag and counted the number of galleons in it, and suddenly felt embarrassed - he had no money.

Yes, he was not as well off as in the main world in this world, and there was no hard currency in the storage space, so he was directly in the dilemma of lack of money.

Of course, he was not completely out of money now, but if he bought the things on the admission notice, he would only have one galleon left at most.

A penny can make a hero fall, Li Buying couldn't help but look at another path connecting Gringotts - that was where Knockturn Alley was.

He wanted to rob the rich to help himself, but his current body could not exert much strength, and it was very likely that he would capsize.

Li Buying sighed slightly, and finally gave up this dangerous idea. He put away the bag of gold coins and walked to Ollivander's Wand Shop not far away. After entering, he immediately smelled the smell of wood.

"Mr. Ollivander, I'm here to buy a wand!"

Seeing that there was no one around, Li Buying did not move. His spider sense told him that this old and broken shop was very dangerous for him. After a while, a little old man came out of the inner door and looked at Li Buying in surprise with silver-white pupils.

"Child, are you here alone?"

"Yes, I'm here to buy a wand."

He slapped the admission notice to Ollivander. After confirming it, Ollivander showed a charitable smile and asked Li Buying to stand and give him the measurements of arm length, forearm length, height, head circumference, etc.

It was like buying clothes.

After measuring all the dimensions, Ollivander nodded slightly: "The height is normal for this age group. Okay, let me see... This should be suitable for you, precocious little guy, try waving it."

Putting a wand into Li Buying's hand, the boy felt a slight twitch in his nerves, and a pain was transmitted to his brain. Then a gust of wind came out from the top of the wand. Seeing that the gust of wind was about to sweep the entire store, Ollivander hurriedly waved the wand and shouted: "[Spell Stop]!"

"Oh, it seems that your qualifications are very good, but the wand is not suitable for you, try this one."

Taking the wand back from Li Buying, Ollivander looked for a wand that suited him.

After trying four different wands in a row, the wand maker patiently took another wand and put it in Li Buying's hand. Finally, although Li Buying's nerves still twitched when he waved the wand this time, it did not cause any damage.

A bright light enveloped Li Buying, and Ollivander nodded with satisfaction: "Very good, 12 inches (30cm) long, made of willow wood, and the core is the heart nerve of a fire dragon. This is the most suitable wand for you."

"Mr. Ollivander, can I know the properties of willow wood?"

Li Buying remembered that each material corresponds to the different personalities of the wand owner, and out of curiosity, he asked casually.

Olivander was very happy and seemed willing to explain the wand he made to Li Buying:

"Oh, of course, willow has a healing effect and is a very unusual wand wood. I noticed that the ideal owner of a willow wand usually lacks a sense of security, no matter how well they hide this shortcoming.

Many confident customers insist on trying a wicker wand, attracted by their beautiful appearance and the characteristics of being suitable for high-level silent spells, but my wicker wands are chosen by the most potential owners, not those who feel that they are already very capable."

The latter sentence will basically be said to everyone who comes to buy a wand.

Li Buying complained, politely said goodbye to Ollivander, and went to other stores to buy necessities on the notice. Due to insufficient budget, most of the items he bought were just items that could be used normally.

Even so, his purchases basically used up all his gold galleons, leaving only a shiny gold coin at the bottom of his pocket, and he didn't even buy an animal.

Taking out this gold coin, Li Buying once again felt that he couldn't live without money. Fortunately, he only stayed in the Harry Potter world for one semester, so he didn't need to think too much. If he had another mission or wanted to come in later, he could bring some hard currency.

September 1, Platform 9 at King's Cross Station in London, England.

Li Buying stood in front of the platform in a shirt waiting for the train to arrive. The crowd was intertwined, and his eyes kept scanning the crowd. Finally, he noticed a boy who covered his forehead with his hair standing here like him.

A nervous and curious light flashed in the boy's eyes. Li Buying was sure that he was Harry Potter, but he didn't go up to talk to him, but trotted directly to the third pillar between the ninth and tenth platforms.

Li Buying crashed into the pillar and passed through it directly. After turning around, he saw the special train to Hogwarts. He immediately boarded the train with his luggage and sighed again.

He spent two whole nights in the park. He only had one gold Galleon and didn't want to spend this gold coin that might be used on accommodation, so he could only spend these two days in a rather embarrassing way.

On the train, Li Buying deliberately chose a carriage closer to the side to prevent himself from being involved with Harry Potter. At the same time, he took out a pen and paper to plan his tasks in this world.

He had three tasks. Put Voldemort into a state of suspended death. In simple terms, it was to solve Voldemort, but he couldn't kill him completely, so he used suspended death. Killing the troll should refer to the one that Quirrell brought.

The first two of these three tasks were easy for Li Buying. The worst case was to kill, kill, kill, kill, but the last one was very difficult.

Helping his own house to win the runner-up. If it was Slytherin, that would be great. He wouldn't have to do anything to win the runner-up. Unfortunately, he wasn't a pure blood. If he joined Gryffindor, would he secretly mess up and bring down Gryffindor's score?

But with Dumbledore here, it was basically impossible. He probably made up his mind to let Gryffindor win the championship.

While he was struggling, the train roared and gradually left the station. Li Buying's vision suddenly became wider, and a huge and beautiful plain appeared in front of him.
