Chapter 148 The Karen Family
"Stop the car!" Bajir shouted.
His golden eyes appeared, and he looked through the thick car wall to the right rear.
"Alice Cullen?" The moment he saw the petite girl who looked like an elf, this name popped up in Bajir's mind.
For some reason, he was particularly familiar with the descriptive words of the female vampires in Bella's world.
He reviewed it more than a hundred times.
Of course, the gentleman Bajir certainly did not think out of shivering.
He just wanted to avoid meeting them, causing his already low moral bottom line to fall again.
Hmm. Who is that male vampire who is as strong as a bear?
Bella stopped the car, "Did she foresee your existence? And then abandoned Jasper?"
Bajir got out of the car and protected Bella behind him.
"That's unlikely. Her ability to predict is very limited."
"If the person changes his mind midway, then the prophecy will not come true, and she can only predict the future of the life of her same race or former race. There must be no interference. For example, she can't see the future of werewolves, that is, Quileutes and half-vampires Renesmee."
"In the novel, when you are with Jacob, she can't predict your future."
Bella shrugged, "This is just a setting in the novel. I feel that the author can't control his own settings and indirectly ban Alice's ability."
"Besides, who can guarantee that my world is from a novel? What if it is a female fan fiction, and the heroine is Alice, and she discovered you through the system? Maybe it's true!"
Bajiel was surprised, "When did you know the concept of fan fiction?"
Bella, "It's Zoe. She uploaded a lot of fan fiction and said let us kill time."
"Oh, they are here." Bajiel suddenly reminded.
The fingers behind his back glowed, and Bella felt that an invisible iron wall suddenly appeared in front of her.
"They?" Bella was not afraid. She was just curious about who else was there. After all, she was an official member of the club and could hide in the space at any time.
"Is it you?" The girl with delicate and small features appeared in front of Bajiel and others with the sound of air bursting and the broken branches.
Her eyes were very light in color, a darker, golden honey color.
She was staring at Bajiel with her beautiful eyes, surrounded by a kind of obsessive love.
Her white and delicate nose wings twitched slightly, her hands were clasped in front of her chest, and she stood gracefully on the side of the road, like a flawless elf who broke into the city from the forest.
Bella frowned.
The happier the vampires of Karen's lineage, the more gold there will be in their eyes, and the more depressed and irritable they are, the more black there will be in their eyes, until it becomes pitch black.
So, this Alice is really here to steal men!
Bella looked at the little girl in front of her with her height advantage, her brown eyes full of unhappiness.
Soon, another explosion came.
A huge brown bear, no, a muscular hunk brought a shower of gravel and leaves, which fell heavily on the cement road.
The cement road broke apart like a spider web.
"Emmett?" Bella exclaimed.
Like Alice, he had sickly pale skin, and his shocking appearance had already exposed his identity as a vampire.
His black curly hair and bear-like physique exposed his identity - Emmett Cullen.
Ability is power, a vampire who likes to hunt bears.
"Do you know me?" Emmett frowned.
However, he did not pay too much attention to Bella.
He gathered his courage and forced himself to shift his gaze to the existence that made his hair stand on end even if he was a mile away.
Because that was also the eternal partner chosen by Alice, whom he regarded as his family.
The next second, he bared his teeth, curled up defensively, and a wild roar rushed out of his throat.
In the eyes of others, the boy might be a charming existence, with a handsome face far beyond that of a vampire, a well-proportioned body, and a strong body, as if he was carved out of marble by the most brilliant artist.
But in his eyes, it was the most ferocious beast.
Dragon.
Only this kind of creature in myth and epic can describe it.
"Emmett!" Alice complained to her family unhappily, as if she could not sense the threat from Bajiel.
However, her voice like a soprano singer made her complaint sound more like a spoiled child.
Then her voice softened again, and she smiled beautifully at Bajiel, "I am Alice Cullen, born as a human in 1901. I died in 1920 and became a vampire. I have the ability to predict the future, and you are the most perfect partner in my future."
"Bella, you actually guessed it right?" Bajiel couldn't believe it.
But Alice didn't lie.
So, his pupils returned to azure blue.
The invisible wall surrounding Bella disappeared.
Vampire Emmett regained his composure. He stood up with lingering fear, "I am Emmett Cullen. You are not a human either. You must be the most dangerous among the monsters. Just now, every cell in my body seemed to come alive and wanted to escape."
"I want to introduce myself too, right? I was born in 1915 and became a vampire in 1935."
Bella stepped forward and hugged Bagir's arm, "I am a girl. My third-party radar has been going off until now."
Bagir was speechless: Aren’t you a third party too? If it really counts, Hermione is the only one who doesn't count as the third party.
Then the two turned their heads.
Bella, "Hello, my name is Isabella Swan. I was born in 1987, and I am seventeen years old. Just call me Bella."
Bajir, "I am indeed not a human being. I will follow your format. I am Bajir Granger. Born in 1980."
"By the way, I'm seventeen, too."
Emmett and Alice both doubted their ears.
This year is 2004. No matter how you calculate it, Bagir shouldn't be 17, but 24?
But the next second, they thought that Bajir was not human either.
Alice: "Seventeen? According to the age of the transformed body, I should be 19 years old."
Emmett: "I'm 20."
Bagir had no explanation. He just replied calmly: "It's not wrong."
"But... I have a question. If I guess correctly, you should all be students at Forks High School."
"Don't you need to go to school if you're all stuck here?"
"You are much more important than that," Alice explained while looking at Bargeel with fascination.
Emmett raised his hand, "I asked Carlisle to ask for leave for us. We're not really students. I mean it's just our disguise in human society."
"Carlisle is a doctor, he can write sick notes as he pleases."
He looked at Bella, "You should need it too. But when did you transform."
"What kind of monsters are you and Bagir? You can be so human-like."
"No, he's more like that. Full body temperature and heartbeat."
"You just have a heartbeat, but you don't smell anything."
Bella's head was covered with black lines. She was about to explain that she was a human being, but when she thought of the fairy tale magician on the system panel, her fingers glowed, creating a mist around her, and she made a face, "I am a magician. Transform time. It was last night."
"Also, I really need a sick note." She looked in the direction of the school, "I guess classes are already in session now."
"Okay, I'll call Carlisle later," Emmett nodded, and he pumped his fist excitedly, "Are there really magicians? I thought they were made up! Or they are actually humans or vampires with superpowers. Ellie Silk had the ability to predict the future before she became a vampire."
"Are you going to our house?"
Bagir:? ? ?
Emmett explained, "Alice's predictions of the future are infallible. You are destined to be hers."
"Since we don't belong to humans, it's better to gather together."
"Our home is big, do you want to come and take a look?"
Bella was a little unhappy, "What do you mean it's destined to belong to her?"
The filter brought by reading the novel did not allow her to attack Alice's age, saying that she was an old woman over a hundred years old.
"The future is uncertain and changes based on people's choices."
"You're obviously lying!"
Emmett was a little embarrassed, he was indeed lying. All Alice sees is a possibility for the future.
Bagir asked Alice curiously, "How did you see my future? You can't even see the future of those Quileutes, the werewolves in your eyes. How did you capture my future?" of."
Alice only felt that the place where Bagir's gaze was shining seemed to be heating up. She lowered her head shyly, "That's just a shadow."
"I can feel how I feel at that time in the future. The happiness I feel when I'm with you is something I don't have in all the futures I've seen."
"Although it was just a shadow. I don't know what you look like, let alone when that day will come."
"But what I do know is that it was worth the wait, forever."
Emmett also helped, "Yes, Alice has been waiting for you for almost 100 years. She has been alone and rejected all admirers."
"That even included Jasper, the partner who would have given her happiness."
"She was even willing to give up on us for you."
Alice raised her head timidly, "Can you come to our house together?"
Bagir looked at Bella.
Bella stamped her feet, "Okay, let's go. I've also wanted to see the vampire's home. Should I drive?"
"I'll do it," Emmett looked at Bella's big truck, his expression froze, "Forget it, your car can't go a hundred miles an hour. I can't bear to drive slowly. "
"Slow car?" Bella wanted to retort, saying how sturdy and awesome her car was.
But the next second, she remembered something.
She had read the novel.
In the novel, the car's former owner, Jacob, once gave advice, "It's best not to drive this car above sixty miles an hour."
So, she could only lower her head and finally said stubbornly: "But Bajir wants to sit in the passenger seat."
"I don't care what you write in the stupid future, but Bagir undoubtedly belongs to me!"
Before she could say anything, however, Emmett was already in the car, choosing the back seat.
Alice opened the car door gracefully and sat in the back seat.
The empty cab and passenger seat became silent props in the face.
Bella: Aren’t I trying to judge a gentleman’s heart with a villain’s heart?
Following Alice's instructions, the truck began to drive north.
We drove out of the main town and over the bridge over the Calawah River toward the road to the north.
The houses flew by quickly, becoming less dense and larger.
Then, all the houses were behind us, and we drove into the misty forest.
Then we turned and drove onto an unpaved road.
The road was unmarked and was vaguely visible among the ferns.
It snaked through ancient trees, and the forest encroached on both sides of the road, and the road could only be seen a few meters ahead.
Then, after a few miles, the trees became sparser and suddenly we were in a small meadow.
But the darkness of the forest did not dissipate, because a half-dozen unpruned cedars shaded the entire meadow with their vast, long branches.
The trees extended their protective shade to the outer wall of the house, which rose above the shadows and made the deep porch around the first floor of the house look a little old.
The house was old and beautiful, perhaps more than a hundred years old.
It was painted a soft, faded white, three stories high, square and symmetrical.
The doors and windows were all original or restored.
It was very remote.
The two trucks were the only cars in sight.
It was also very quiet, with only the roar of the truck engines and the sound of the river.
It was somewhere nearby, hidden in the dark forest.
"We're here!" Emmett opened the door without even waiting for the car to stop. He jumped down and landed steadily on the lawn.
"I hope you like it." Alice exerted force on her waist and abdomen, followed by a light jump, landing steadily and gracefully like a Suzuka crossing a stream.
"Can't you wait?" Bella stopped the car in a rage.
"It seems that vampires are impatient." Bajir also got out of the car.
"Are you ready, Bella? Are you not scared?" Bajir asked, opening Bella's door.
"Not at all - let's go." Bella slammed the car door.
She was indeed worried, worried that Basil would be taken away.
She was an ugly duckling compared to Alice.
For a moment, she even forgot the existence of the club.
Forgot that she was just worrying too much.
"You look cute." Basil easily saw Bella's uneasiness.
He chose to take Bella's hand directly without thinking.
Walked through the deep shade of the trees and walked towards the porch. His thumb circled the back of her hand to calm her down.
Alice seemed to see this too.
She was considerate and pulled away from Basil.
She chose to lead the way with Emmett and opened the door.
The house was even more amazing, even more unexpected than the outside.
The house was very bright, very open, and very spacious.
There should have been several rooms here, but most of the walls on the first floor were opened up, turning it into an especially wide space.
The south-facing wall at the back of the house was replaced with a single pane of glass, and beyond the shade of the cedar trees, a wide river was revealed on the rolling lawn.
A grand spiral staircase dominated the west side of the room.
The walls, high ceilings, wooden floors, and thick carpets were all in various shades of white.
