Buddha's Heart

Chapter 253 Buddha's Heart

When Monk Mingxin arrived at Yankang State, he saw that there were still clouds in the sky and the impact of the snowstorm had not yet dissipated. The officers and soldiers were still busy with disaster relief and the victims were still fleeing from the famine. However, there were many bandits robbing houses and starving people were fleeing everywhere. It was a miserable life for the people.

"There's a fair and tender monk here!"

Some hungry people saw him and said happily: "You don't need to wash it, you can eat it!"

Monk Mingxin ran away immediately. After all, those hungry people had been hungry for who knows how many days, so they could not catch up with him and had to give up. He said, "I told you not to make a noise. Wait until he gets close and hugs you, then bite him. This fair and tender monk won't be able to run away."

Monk Mingxin was terrified. He went hungry for two or three days and could not find anything to fill his stomach. He was chased by hungry people more than a dozen times.

There is peace and tranquility in the Great Leiyin Temple, but the outside world is so dangerous and there is famine everywhere. There is nothing like this in the Buddhist scriptures, and it is estimated that people will only think about the things in the Buddhist scriptures when they are well fed and warmly clothed.

The Heart Sutra he brought with him was useless and could not solve the problem of hunger.

This place is remote, with many disaster victims and the imperial court unable to reach it. Starving people are everywhere, with bodies of those who starved to death lying all over the roadside.

Some wild wolves and dogs turned into monsters by eating human corpses. They gathered in groups and preyed on living people everywhere.

Dogs were originally tamed, but in years of disaster, they began to eat people, reproduced quickly, and were more ferocious than wolves!

"This is hell..." Monk Mingxin burst into tears as he looked at the monsters and ghosts and corpses everywhere.

"Monk, do you have children?"

A skinny disaster victim grabbed his clothes, holding a child in his arms, with a hungry look on his face: "Give me your child, and I'll give you my child. You eat my child, and I'll eat your child..."

Monk Mingxin screamed, broke free from him and fled in panic.

“Tathagata——”

Mingxin ran for an unknown number of miles until he could no longer run. He knelt on the ground and cried out in grief, "You are in the Great Leiyin Temple, can't you see this world?"

He stumbled forward in a daze. There was a temple in front of him. Mingxin entered the temple and saw several people hanging from the temple beams, upside down and skinned. Several monks were squatting in the corner, eating meat in iron basins. When they saw him coming, they were startled and hurriedly said, "Master, Master, there is a lone monk here!"

The old abbot came out in a hurry and said, "Where did the monk come from? We don't have much food left here, and even the land has been eaten by hungry people. Yuanding, give him a bowl of food and let him go. May the Buddha have mercy on us."

A basin of human flesh was placed in front of Monk Mingxin. He was stunned and suddenly felt that the Buddha statue in his mind had collapsed.

He jumped up and hammered the Buddha statue frantically, pushing it down and smashing it to pieces. The other monks rushed forward to stop him, angrily saying, "You monk are crazy and possessed! You are blaspheming the Buddha and betraying your master and ancestors!"

Monk Mingxin allowed them to beat him without fighting back and was soon beaten to a bloody pulp. At this time, a group of soldiers arrived and chopped off several monks in the temple.

"These monks are cannibals and lawless... General, there is another monk here who has been beaten beyond recognition. Hey, he's still breathing!"

The officers and soldiers carried him over. The general took one look at him and said, "You won't die. Monk, I see you have the ability. Why didn't you fight back when they wanted to kill you?"

Monk Mingxin said woodenly: "I am full of flaws..."

The general laughed and said, "It's good to have flaws all over your body. Who doesn't have a few flaws? Only the master knows that he has flaws. You have some skills, come with me and protect the seedlings. These refugees even eat the grass, and they will eat up the crops that have just been planted. Come on, burn this temple!"

The officers and soldiers went forward and set fire to the temple, and soon it caught fire.

Monk Mingxin nodded, then suddenly froze, and quickly ran towards the fire: "My scriptures!"

The general ordered his men to hold him back and asked, "What scripture do you have? How thick is it?"

"Only two pages."

"It's freezing cold now, and such a thin book is not even enough to warm yourself by the fire."

The general raised a finger, his eyes showing some compassion: "As long as there is a harvest, the people of the world will have food to eat and will no longer be hungry. This world is a human world, not a hell. Therefore, it is very important to protect the seedlings, and they cannot be ruined by refugees! Wait until the world is peaceful, then you can read your Buddhist scriptures. By then, I will give you a basket of Buddhist scriptures, you can read whichever one you want!"

Monk Mingxin was stunned. Can we read the scriptures only when the world is at peace?

So how can this Buddhist scripture save people from suffering and disaster? How can it save all living beings?

It is useless when the world is in chaos. What is the point of waiting until the world is peaceful to save people from suffering and save all living beings?

"Master Qin was right. The one who wrote the Buddhist scriptures was indeed not Tathagata."

Monk Mingxin, in his cloth clothes and straw sandals, his white robes stained with blood, left with the group of soldiers: "From now on, I am my own Tathagata, and I will write my own Buddhist scriptures!"

Great Leiyin Temple.

The sound of bells rang slowly. Qin Mu looked to the west, where was Daxu, which was hit by a severe disaster. He looked to the east, where was Yankang, which was experiencing a snowstorm.

The Great Leiyin Temple is sandwiched between the two, and is a good place that is not affected by disasters or catastrophes. The monks on the mountain are carefree and concentrate on studying Buddhism, without being troubled by disasters or catastrophes.

"The Great Leiyin Temple has more than 4,000 courtyards. Tianlong Courtyard and Xinchan Courtyard are relatively high-level temples. Each courtyard is responsible for different things and has different things to comprehend. If a disciple is outstanding, he will be taught by the old monk and he does not have to walk around the courtyards."

Master Ma said, "For example, the monk Mingxin was specially taught by the monk Jingming. They were all outstanding monks under the guidance of the teacher. And those with the highest aptitude, understanding and Buddha nature were taught by Tathagata himself."

Qin Mu looked down and saw mountain peaks like lotus petals, surrounding the main peak of Jinding in the center, with thousands of temples and monasteries, all of which were filled with incense.

"The Great Leiyin Temple does have its strengths, and in teaching disciples, it has something in common with National Master Yankang." Qin Mu nodded.

Master Ma took them around and walked towards a magnificent pagoda. He said, "The first of the heavens is Yamaraja Hall, and the second is Sagaragara Hall, which represent the state of mind of the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra. At the top, there are Indra Hall and Mahabrahma Hall. If you count from the top to the bottom, Mahabrahma Hall is the first of the heavens."

Qin Mu looked up and was shocked. This pagoda was too magnificent. It was truly majestic and magnificent!

They walked into the pagoda and came to the first courtyard, King Yamaraja's Court. There were several young monks studying the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra. An old monk came forward and said, "God of Horses."

Master Ma said, "We want to take a look around here."

The old monk looked embarrassed and said, "This is the place where the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra is practiced..."

Suddenly a voice said, "Brother, my Buddha said that there is no shameful place in the Great Leiyin Temple. They can go anywhere."

The old monk looked at it and said quickly, "Buddha's son."

A young monk came in, saluted Ma Ye, and said, "Senior Brother."

The monk saluted Qin Mu again and said, "Master Qin."

Qin Mu returned the greeting and said with a smile: "So you are a Buddhist. I have seen you once outside the Imperial Academy, but you have never seen me."

The monk had a halo on his head, which made him look like a great treasure. His eyes were as bright as gems, his earlobes were like water drops, and there was a red mark between his eyebrows. He was very extraordinary, and was a true Buddha and a son of Buddha.

A Buddhist monk with a heart of Buddha once followed Master Jingming to block the door of Taixue College. Qin Mu went over to take a look, but because the young master did not give him any benefits and Qin Mu still had to defeat Qingniu, he did not fight with him.

When Doctor You and his men were insane at the Imperial College, Si Yunxiang sneaked out and had a fight with him, which made the Buddhists give up.

The Buddha looked at Qin Mu and found that although the leader of the Heavenly Demon Sect was polite and gentle, like a gentleman, his eyes were very aggressive. From time to time, a wild and unruly style burst out from his eyes, piercing into the hearts of others, making him jump in his heart: "This person has a strong devil nature!"

Buddha Heart said to the old monk, "As Tathagata said, it is okay to show the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra to Master Qin. The Tathagata Mahayana Sutra in my Great Leiyin Temple cannot be practiced without Buddha nature. Moreover, Senior Brother Ma also has a set of Tathagata Mahayana Sutra. If he wanted to pass it on to Master Qin, he could have done so long ago. Two donors, Senior Brother Ma, please watch and see."

The old monk felt relieved and explained to the young monks the mysteries of the first heaven, Yamaraja Heaven, in the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra. He did not hesitate to do anything because Qin Mu and others were here.

After a while, Qin Mu had an epiphany and activated the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra that he had heard. He felt eight kinds of coldness and eight kinds of heat in his body, as if he had fallen into hell, and turned into King Yama.

When Foxin saw him suddenly radiate precious light, his heart skipped a beat: "This is Buddha's light! He is standing here and has comprehended the first level of the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra? Does he have Buddha nature? Isn't he a demon?"

Master Ma also saw the Buddha light suddenly bursting out from him and said, "Mu'er, you have already obtained the first level of the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra. There is no need to listen to this level. Let's go to the next level."

Qin Mu followed the blind man Ma Ye to the Sagara Dragon King's Courtyard, and the Buddha's heart and disciples followed quickly. There was also an old monk here preaching the various mysteries of the Sagara Dragon King's Heaven.

Not long after, the Buddha felt that the Buddha's light on Qin Mu became stronger.

He was shocked. People with demonic nature could not cultivate the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra. Qin Mu was the leader of the Heavenly Demon Sect, the devil among devils. Yet he cultivated the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra to the second level just by standing here and listening for a while. It was too shocking!

You know, the reason why Buddha's heart is called Buddha's son is because he has a heart as pure as a baby's. When he first came here, he practiced the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra to the fourth level in a short period of time, which shocked the Great Leiyin Temple and he was revered as Buddha's son.

And it is said that the same is true for the Horse King God. Buddha's heart has heard the legend about him. It is said that the Horse King God cultivated to the fifth heaven in one go. Therefore, the old Tathagata had high expectations for him and cultivated him as the next generation of Tathagata.

“It is impossible for the devil leader of the Heavenly Demon Sect to have such a deep Buddha nature as me!” Buddha thought to himself.

When he reached the third heaven, Qin Mu unknowingly comprehended the state of mind of the Moon Palace Emperor in the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra, and cultivated to the Moon Palace Emperor Heaven. Buddha light appeared behind his head, and the precious moon was like a flower. In the Moon Palace Emperor Courtyard, there were not many monks who cultivated to this level!

When he reached the fourth heaven, Qin Mu comprehended the state of mind of the Sun Palace King in the Tathagata Mahayana Sutra. Buddha's light and the blazing sun flame appeared behind his head, and he looked like a high monk who had attained enlightenment!
