Ten Years of Wind and Rain

Ten years ago today, I applied for an author account on Qidian Chinese website, took the name Zhaizhu, applied for my first book, Rebirth of Journey to the West, and uploaded the first chapter.

Now, it happens to be the tenth anniversary, and the Shepherd's Chronicles has reached the 600th chapter, The Withered Veteran.

Ten years ago, readers who read Rebirth of Journey to the West, are you still here? Are you like the veterans of Kaihuang Heaven, are you still reading Zhaizhu's new book?

Over the past ten years, I have been through thick and thin. I still remember the flop after writing Reborn Journey to the West. I had to sell rags and quilts to get through the most difficult period (yes, it was Water Margin: Immortal Journey. I only made a few hundred dollars and endured for half a year. I almost starved to death because of this book).

When writing Savage Throne, Zhaizhu began to try to change and write Western fantasy, but at the root was still the Eastern classical consciousness. Later on, Zhaizhu felt that he still had to return to the East and return to Chinese culture.

I am a native Chinese. What I am best at is speaking Chinese and writing Chinese characters. I absorb nourishment from China's classical culture and write China's own stories.

Therefore, "Unrivaled in the World" is the beginning of returning to oneself. From "Rebirth in Journey to the West" to "Unrivaled in the World", it is a journey of struggle and eventual return.

Unrivaled in the World is an interesting story, a pure and refreshing read.

However, the spiritual core of "Unrivaled in the World" is actually a modern story.

In "Unrivaled in the World", Pig wants to tell the story of an old era coming to an end and a new era just beginning.

Yuanshi Tianwang is the representative of the old era, representing the old society of the past. Ye Xu is the representative of the new era, representing the era of witches. They met in the transition between the old and the new. The old era does not want to give up the past, while the new people are already looking to the future. Therefore, Yuanshi Tianwang wants to destroy the new era and let the old society return.

The novel refers to a certain period in China.

Then comes the Emperor.

The spiritual core of Emperor Zun is also about the alternation of the old and the new, but it is more mature than Unique in the World. The scholar Jiangnan rescued a little fox from a hunter. The little fox told him that the greater the ambition, the greater the achievement. A fragment of a scroll led Jiangnan on a journey of striving for progress.

As the last god, Jiangnan buried the era belonging to the gods and established a new era on the ruins of the era of gods.

He is another Yuanshi Tianwang, but his choice is different from that of Yuanshi Tianwang in Unrivaled Under Heaven.

The spiritual core of the supremacy of humanity is the spirit of Fuxi, the spirit of humanity.

In this book, Zhaizhu tries to write something new, referring to the international situation after the founding of New China.
