Chapter 236: Death Spots
"Quiet, Crookshanks..." Hermione caressed her cat, but the girl's comfort had no effect. Crookshanks still stared at Ron, looking fully prepared for war. This made Hermione feel a little overwhelmed.
"What's wrong, Ron, what did Crookshanks do?" Fan Lin frowned. He didn't understand what was wrong with Ron. It made no sense to lose such a temper to Hermione's pet. Although Ron Well, I hate Crookshanks very much, but that's because of Scabbers.
That was an Animagus, what an ordinary cat could do to a wizard.
Thinking of this, Fan Lin's heartbeat seemed to skip a beat. He seemed to have forgotten something. Peter Pettigrew could not sit still and wait for death, especially after Sirius broke through the blockade of Hogwarts. There was no way Peter Pettigrew would allow Sirius to trouble him.
"Give it to me..." Ron said coldly, his tone was very cold, just like the weather outside. Of course, compared to our Professor Snape, Ron was still a little greener.
"What?" Hermione seemed to be frightened, and she unconsciously kept her arms tighter.
"You know..." Ron said calmly, but then Ron changed his posture, as if he was roaring.
"I said, give me that damn monster, did you hear me?"
"What did you yell at me!" Hermione responded unceremoniously. Ron yelled at her inexplicably, which made Hermione very angry.
Neville, who followed behind, seemed to be stunned by the conflict in the lounge. He stood blankly at the entrance of the stairs, blocking everyone behind him.
Neville looked at Fanlin helplessly. He didn't know what happened. Ron had just woken up and seemed to be a different person after seeing Crookshanks.
"Uh... Neville, you... you go back... Ron just wants to talk to us about something!" Fan Lin said with a headache.
Neville nodded obediently, and he called the classmates behind him to go to the dormitory, but before they could go far, everyone was frightened by Ron and stopped.
"Give me that bastard quickly..." Ron shouted, "I must kill it today."
"Why are you convulsing!" Hermione was also furious, and she held Crookshanks tightly in her arms.
"Why did Crookshanks provoke you? It's my pet. It's a cat. Could it be that it wants to eat you? Are you sick?"
"It killed Scabbers!" Ron looked very painful, and there seemed to be a cry in his voice.
This news frightened Hermione, but the girl immediately realized that Scabbers was not a mouse, it was an Animagus. How could an ordinary cat kill a wizard? One cat could kill an entire cat. The wizard who blew up the streets.
Hermione's face was a little ugly, but she still suppressed the anger in her heart. She glanced at Fan Lin. Only the two of them knew about Banban, but it was not the time to talk about it yet.
Fan Lin quickly walked to the stairs, "You have also seen the pet dispute. I think what is needed now is for two people to sit down and talk... It is better for everyone to go back..."
A few people's voices rang out scatteredly, but not many people came down, so the work of persuasion seemed to be quite easy.
It didn't take long for the people who were still staying in the corridor to return to their respective lounges. Of course, discussions behind the scenes were unavoidable. However, Fanlin did not intend to care about these insignificant things. Regarding Peter Pettigrew, he did not want to tell these students that there was no need to bring new panic and changes.
There is another possibility that everyone thinks he is crazy. However, this possibility will greatly restore everyone's true thoughts. It is not a pleasant thing to slander a recipient of the First Class Sir Merlin Order.
Finally, the moment the door to the boys' dormitory closed, the Gryffindor common room returned to calm. It was only then that Harry truly breathed a sigh of relief. Both sides were his friends, and in front of him like that. Arguing in front of many people made Harry feel very embarrassed no matter what.
"What happened Ron..." Harry asked, "You said Scabbers is dead? Crookshanks killed him?"
"That's impossible!" Hermione said angrily, "My cat has no idea what that damn mouse is, and..."
Hermione paused. She wanted to say that Crookshanks didn't have this ability at all, but she had just promised Fanlin and Sirius not to tell anyone else about it.
"And... Crookshanks is a very good cat!"
"It's a monster..." Ron yelled, "a pig's body and a troll's brain, and its face looks like it was slapped flat by something..."
"You are not allowed to say that about Crookshanks..." Hermione got angry, "This is my pet!"
"Then how do you explain this..." Ron roared, and he pulled the sheets in his hands from behind to in front of several people.
"Take a good look..." Ron raised his arms excitedly, and pointed his finger at a stain on the bed sheet. The stain was dark red, scattered dots on the white bed sheet, which seemed particularly abrupt.
"This is blood!" Ron yelled, and he threw the sheets to the ground hard. The sheets spread out naturally, and the dark red blood looked so dazzling.
"You know what else is around here..." Ron shouted, looking like an angry lion.
"have no idea……"
"Ginger fur...the only one in Gryffindor who has fur this damn color is the damn monster in your arms."
"A few cat hairs don't mean much about Ron. Maybe we can look for it when we return to the boys' dormitory. Maybe Banban is hiding under someone's bed. You know, Banban likes to do this." Fan Lin said, Hermione looked very aggrieved.
"That's right, Ron..." Harry said, "We should go look for it!"
"Shut up!" Ron yelled like crazy. Fan Lin heard some footsteps upstairs, which forced him to use his wand to block the voices of several people.
"I say it again, give me that damn monster..." Ron said angrily. He took a step forward, as if Hermione would snatch Crookshanks directly if she didn't agree to him.
"I tell you, Ron Weasley, this is impossible!" Hermione said angrily. She knew that Ron was wronging her, and she had restrained herself enough, but in the face of Ron's yelling, Hermione couldn't. Min still couldn't help but get angry.
"I tell you, Crookshanks won't give it to you. Moreover, even if Crookshanks really killed and ate Scabbers, so what, you have to protect your pet, and so do I...and , an ugly fat stupid mouse, so what if it gets eaten? In my house, this thing is a pest. I really don’t understand why you like a mouse!”
Ron didn't expect Hermione to reject him so confidently. He was stunned for a moment, but he quickly came to his senses.
Ron's body was shaking a little, and his face was slightly purple due to congestion, which made Ron look very scary at the moment.
"How's it going?" Ron growled, which made his voice a little hoarse, like a wounded beast, but he didn't have time to lick his wounds!
"That's enough, Hermione!" Ron roared loudly again, "Don't bring those Muggle things here, and I've had enough of you... You're always like this, and you never pay attention. What Crookshanks was going to do, everything you did was right, wasn't it! Now... you finally told your true thoughts, Crookshanks ate Scabbers, and you still wanted to protect him. You damn monster!"
"I said, Crookshanks can't eat Scabbers..." Hermione was annoyed. Although the girl also felt that her words were too strong, the fact was the fact. Cats eat mice. This is understandable. So Hermione had no intention of bowing to Ron.
"Impossible? Then how do you explain Mao Mao? And as soon as I opened the door, I saw this monster squatting at the door of the boys' dormitory..."
"Maybe Mao Mao was there when school started. Moreover, the boys' dormitory is opposite the girls' dormitory. There is nothing strange about Crookshanks staying there!"
"You still want to protect it..." Ron said, "You have always treated me as a fool or an idiot, just like I helped you block Malfoy, and it's not me you care about, just like now... I My pet Banban is dead, and you are still protecting that monster!”
Ron's nose felt a little sore, and he felt very sad about Hermione's performance.
"Okay Ron..." Harry patted Ron on the shoulder, "Maybe it's a good thing for Scabbers to die. After all, he is already so old. A normal mouse would have died long ago, and now Banban doesn’t even eat anymore, so dying might be a good thing for Banban.”
"It also bit Goyle's finger. It's my partner..." Ron seemed to be about to cry.
"Yes, that was his most glorious moment. His mark will remain on Goyle's hand forever." Harry comforted, "We can buy another mouse. There is no need to argue with Hermione." Like this.”
"Maybe Banban is not dead yet!" Fan Lin said, he could feel the tracking mark in Banban's body. Although it was a bit weak, it was not beyond his maximum perception range.
Of course Peter would not die so easily. Sirius didn't even kill him back then.
Fan Lin just wanted to chant a spell to make the tracking mark on Banban's body more obvious, but Ron interrupted him rudely. (To be continued)
