Chapter 44 Death's Counterattack

Just when the Narwhal was about to be submerged by the paper figurines, there was a piercing scream in the distant air, and the paper figurines on the Narwhal stopped suddenly.

Charles forced himself to look into the distance. Orderic turned into a giant bat and had already reached the sky above the wooden boat. The waxy yellow canvas shook violently under the power of sound waves. The whole wooden boat began to tremble constantly.

Seeing his crew pull back a round, Charles couldn't hold on any longer, his body rubbed against the hull and slowly fell to the ground.

The crew members immediately noticed the abnormality of the captain, and gathered around one after another, everyone with nervous faces

"Captain! Who did this?" The second officer looked at the protruding knife on his chest, his face was very hesitant.

"Leave me alone...quick...go and get rid of those paper men..." Charles, whose eyes were dimmed, said intermittently.

The second officer nodded quickly, and led the sailors towards the trembling enemies.

It was getting darker and darker, and Charles couldn't even hear the sounds around him.

Watching the torches being lit on the deck, a thought flashed through Charles' mind. "Am I going to die?"

Charles felt that everything was getting brighter, and the pain in his body was rapidly fading.

Facing the imminent death, Charles found himself calmer than he imagined, "I'm finally dead... I don't know if I can travel back..."

The first officer who had just disappeared squeezed through the crowd to Charles, dragging two people by his hands.

One of them was a novice sailor with a knife cut in the neck, and the other was Dipper who was shot. The sailor's injury was not fatal.

Charles could see the two terrifiedly speaking into the bandages, but he couldn't hear anything now.

The bandage put the two of them side by side on the ground, and after taking a deep look at Charles, he took the black knife from his hand.

Charles wanted to ask what the bandage was for, but his bloodless lips trembled, but they couldn't open them.

The bandage quickly drew a three-pointed blood formation on the deck with the blade, and the gaps in the formation were filled with distorted inscriptions.

"Pfft!" The sharp blade pierced the sailor's chest, and the eyes of Charles and the surrounding crew were also full of disbelief.

The bandage swung the sailor's corpse into the formation, and then raised the knife to Dipper.

"Tsk." A boat nail was fixed on the first officer's hand holding the knife.

Looking at Charles' eyes full of anger, Bandage silently put down the knife, prostrate on the ground and chanted something in a low voice.

The blood of the sailor's corpse seeped into the magic circle on the deck along with the chants of the bandages.

A transparent octopus tentacles formed by sea water stretched out from the edge of the boat bed, and the singing of bandages became louder.

The top of the tentacles pointed at the sailors in the formation, and the corpse with wide eyes quickly slid out along the inside of the tentacles.

The blood-stained tentacle quickly fell towards Charles beside him, and the whole tentacle turned into blood again and splashed on Charles' body.

After being drenched in this way, Charles, who was still dying just now, screamed hysterically.

His body was emitting white smoke, trembling and twisting like a snake, the blade in his body was ejected quickly, and the wound was also healing.

At this time, Charles felt thousands of knives stabbing himself, and the severe pain made him almost go into shock.

In just a few seconds, Charles lying in the sea had healed as before.

Bandage walked over calmly and helped the wet Charles up. "Captain... the sacrifice was only half paid... your injury is not completely healed."

Panting heavily, Charles glanced at his first officer in a complicated manner, and turned his head to look at the battle situation in the distance without saying anything.

At this moment, the screeching sound had disappeared, and Orderic, who was covered in blood in mid-air, was besieged by a group of black paper men in some embarrassment.

Charles quickly rushed to the deck and fired directly at the wooden boat in the distance.

It seems that because of the distance, Charles missed a few shots in a row.

Charles turned his head and looked at the crew on the deck, "Bandage, you go to the helm, James directly overloads the vortex furnace, and the others prepare their weapons, we must catch up with it!"

Everyone moved immediately, and the Narwhal, which had paused for a long time, moved again.

Charles' black hair swayed in the wind, his face behind the mask was frosty, but the hatred in his eyes couldn't be concealed.

Seeing the Narwhal approaching, the wooden boat seemed to want to escape. It was not an advantage in terms of speed alone, and the distance between the two boats was rapidly approaching.

Under the control of Charles, the deck gun tilted the ammunition again, constantly stirring up water columns around the wooden ship.

"Kach~" The mast of the wooden boat was smashed by the circuit breaker, and it fell on the deck with the canvas, and the speed of the wooden boat dropped sharply.

"Don't slow down!! Go straight up!!" Charles roared angrily from the deck.

The speed of the Narwhal became faster again, and under the watchful eyes of all the people, the bow of the Narwhal penetrated deeply into the belly of the wooden boat like a spear.

Looking at the figure on the ship, Charles turned the muzzle of the gun directly regardless of how many people there were, and there was a violent bombardment on the opposite deck.

With just a few more bombardments, the ship would surely sink, but Char didn't continue, he needed to know who sent the ship.

"Jump!" Charles led the crew along the bow and rushed to the opposite side.

Across the battered deck, Charles led the crew to the cabin of the wooden boat.

As soon as he came down the stairs, a cold light slashed at Charles's face. Charles shrank, and the black knife in his hand quickly chopped the paper man in front of him into several sections.

But this was just the beginning, and a steady stream of black paper men surged up again, and they continued to attack the enemy like crazy.

"This thing seems to be controlled by someone! Hold on! I'll go and deal with their master first!!"

After finishing speaking, Charles rushed up to the paper man in front of him. At this time, his body was like a loach, sliding quickly between them.

The paper men seemed to be in a hurry, and rushed forward, trying to stop Charles from outside

Charles is like a small boat in the world, although it is in danger, it has never been turned over.

But the more people there are, the more Charles's human limit agility advantage can be brought into play. On the contrary, it is because it is too dense, and the paper man swings his weapon and chops his own people at every turn.

Tens of seconds later, his eyes suddenly became clear. In the dim cabin, a human being wearing a black captain's suit was muttering to himself, and four sky-blue candles were burning beside him.

As soon as he saw Charles wearing a mask, the man's face suddenly showed horror, and he quickly blew out the candles. In the darkness, he hurriedly ran along the foot of the wall to the next window.

This little trick was of no use to Charles, who has dark vision, he raised his pistol and pulled the trigger directly

Blood flowers bloomed precisely on that person's limbs. Before he could react, the black blade in Charles' hand was already on the man's neck.
