Chapter 5 Order of Merlin 2nd Class
For a Muggle family, sending an eleven-year-old to a so-called wizarding school was a tough decision.
Especially Hermione, a child, obviously has an outstanding memory far beyond the average person, and a terrible thirst for knowledge.
In other words, she is a standard academic master.
She will have a good future, and there is no need to go to an unknown magic school.
With the help of Roy, Hermione had already contacted the Royal Academy of Westminster in advance.
The Granger family is also middle-class, with a wealthy family, but getting into those top private schools requires more than money, after all, there are too many applicants. And this kind of private high school can guarantee her a bright future to the greatest extent.
But again, no one can resist the temptation of magic.
The next day, Professor McGonagall visited their house, and it took ten minutes to convince Hermione's parents. She didn't know how much more efficient she was than Hagrid.
Hermione became a frequent visitor to the Stark family, who made William a wizard too, or a god-like type.
Like last year's William, Hermione began to absorb magic knowledge like a sponge.
She fully demonstrated her memory, especially after taking the Buffy brain-refreshing agent prepared by William, she exaggeratedly memorized the entire "Thousands of Magical Herbs and Mushrooms" in just four days.
This kind of efficiency made William speechless.
But William also noticed a problem, Hermione preferred endorsement, not application. She spends too much time reciting, and seems to think that if she memorizes all the knowledge, she will automatically learn magic.
But William soon gave up on Hermione, and at the end of July, he received an invitation.
It was a pale yellow letter, postmarked with a wax seal with a delicate silver W.
He took out the letter and read it.
Chief Magician of Wizengard: Albus Dumbledore (Principal of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, President of the International Federation of Magic, President of the Wizarding Association, and a first-level wizard of the Merlin Order).
Dear Mr. Stark: We are pleased to inform you that you have been awarded the Order of Merlin, Second Class. Please come to Merlin's Cottage outside Salisbury on July 31st to collect it.
The Wizengamot encloses the required clothing, requirements and a door key.
Chief Magician
Sincerely, Albus Dumbledore
"It's finally here. Before the summer vacation, the Daily Prophet said that William would be awarded the Merlin Second Class Medal."
Lyanna excitedly read the letter several times, and Roy took a map of England and tried to find the exact location of Merlin's hut.
Hermione sat on the sofa, opened a thick book, and quickly found the entry for the Merlin Medal on it.
She read aloud: "Sir Merlin was founded in the Middle Ages by the great wizard Merlin.
Merlin believed that wizards should coexist peacefully with Muggles, so the Jazz established a ban on the use of magic against Muggles.
In honor of this great wizard, the Wizengamore has been awarding medals in the name of the 'Sir Merlin' since the 15th century. "
"Is it very powerful?" Annie asked suspiciously with a bloody lollipop.
"Of course!" She suddenly closed the book, seemingly dissatisfied with Annie's attitude, and hummed: "This is equivalent to the Nobel Prize. William is only twelve years old. According to the book, he recorded the minimum age for the Merlin Medal. Ten years earlier.
Be the youngest recipient of the Merlin Medal! "
Hermione was so excited, it looked like she was getting a medal.
Annie made a face and smiled, "What does it have to do with you?"
"Of course it is!" Hermione said angrily: "William is a student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is the glory of the school.
Of course I am very happy as a witch who is about to enter school, but you..."
The girl squinted, proudly like a swan,
He raised his eyebrows: "Those who probably won't receive the admission letter, of course it doesn't matter."
Annie glared at the girl fiercely, and the two began to pinch again.
Roy looked at the attachment below the letter and said excitedly: "The letter says that each medal recipient can bring fourteen relatives. Who are you going to bring, William?"
"Fourteen? So few?" William frowned.
Hermione stopped paying attention to Anne, the "inexperienced" guy.
She got up and lay on the back of the sofa, sticking her head next to William, making too much movement, her long fluffy brown hair covering her entire face.
William reached out to push her bangs away, and the girl held a hardcover book several times thicker than her front teeth, and explained excitedly: "According to the book, there was no such number requirement at the beginning.
Mainly because of the exaggerated case of Camelot, winner of the Merlin 3rd Class, in 1889, Wizengamot made such a rule.
When he was attending the banquet, he brought a total of 168 people from his neighbors, relatives and friends to the meal, which is why this rule came into being. Even medal winners cannot invite more than 14 family members. "
"Then we have to discuss who to bring." Lyanna said. "It's an important occasion."
Merlin Medal recipients are few in number, the highest honor in the wizarding world.
William nodded and said, "I need seven places here.
The Cedric family has two places, and the Qiu family has gone to the imperial capital for a tour, and will not be able to return for the time being.
George, Fred and Mr. Weasley, and then called Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall. "
Roy thought for a while, and said, "Our family has three more places, plus the Aerys family, that's thirteen people..."
Hermione hesitated for a moment, she clearly wanted to go but pretended to be generous, and said, "No! You don't need to leave such a precious place to us, Uncle Roy, you can give it to someone else."
William smiled and teased: "That's good."
The girl obviously hoped that William must go, but she couldn't change her words, so she lowered her head bitterly and continued to flip through her thick book.
Lyanna slapped William, stroked Hermione's messy hair, and smiled, "Don't listen to William, even if he doesn't go, you all have to go."
"Then there is still one place left, for whom?" Roy asked. "Invite Hagrid?"
William shook his head, "The banquet time is July 31st, and he went to pick up Harry Potter that day."
"And for whom?" Lyanna asked.
William thought of Professor Snape, but he certainly wouldn't go, it would be a waste of his place.
William thought for a while, then smiled: "Then give Bobo tea."
Bobo Tea was secretly eating dried small fish with his butt pouted. He glanced at everyone suspiciously, as if someone was calling him just now.
It meowed, lowered its head again, and continued to eat its snacks.
William will be the first wizard to bring a cat to a banquet!
