Chapter 344 Easter Holiday
Everything seems to have changed, but it seems like nothing has changed. Sirius Black was "caught", but the Dementors did not leave Hogsmeade, and the Ministry of Magic's wanted order was not revoked.
Sirius was still a fugitive from Azkaban, but he no longer had to flee. Now he either eats or sleeps in the Twilight Cottage every day, and occasionally stares at the Marauder's Map. This is his "prisoner" life.
He was no longer guarded by dementors, but by a cat and a dog that ate him inside and outside. Don't be surprised if you see two dogs and a cat chasing each other on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. That's Sirius's daily relaxation time.
Unlike Sirius, who was enjoying the treatment of a sick patient, Dumbledore and Lupine were both extremely busy.
Dumbledore traveled both inside and outside the school, and the principal's chair in the auditorium was often empty. It was not an easy task to collect evidence of events from twelve years ago.
The files of the Ministry of Magic have no credibility at all. Many people were directly thrown into Azkaban after being arrested, and the same was true for Sirius.
The content recorded in the file has no reference value. Dumbledore can only contact the people who participated in the capture of Sirius to understand some of the conditions at the scene, so as to restore the truth of the matter and find out who blew up half of the Street.
Professor Lupine who stayed on campus was also very busy. Not only did he have to attend classes and prepare lessons, he also had to search the nooks and crannies of the castle in his spare time to prevent Peter Pedro from taking advantage of him.
Fortunately, there hasn't been a full moon for a while, so Professor Lupine doesn't need to worry about his furry problems. He can freely bathe in the moonlight and take a walk in the castle illuminated by the moonlight.
Ada and the twins should have had nothing to do. The three of them had already been demolished by Dumbledore, but they did not have a day of leisure, and they were even busier than before.
Gryffindor was lucky enough to make it to the Quidditch final, which would be held on the first Saturday after the Easter holidays, with only one month left to play.
Wood, who was determined to win the Quidditch Cup, started his devilish training again. He either led the players to train or held meetings with the players to discuss new tactics.
All the spare time has been used by Wood. Fred and George are now struggling to tell jokes and have no time to play the cat and mouse game.
And Ada was even worse. Before she could complain about why the twins didn't kneel down to the principal, she was dragged to the office by Professor McGonagall.
You don't need to think about it to know that Dumbledore must have sued her so that she could not allocate time and energy to wander around the school. Having just escaped from Snape's misery, Ada fell into the hands of Professor McGonagall again.
Professor McGonagall didn't even bother to think of a "crime" and directly applied the crime that Snape had previously assigned to Ada. She failed to perform her duties as a prefect and failed to capture the fugitive Black.
Ada had previously said that Sirius couldn't climb his Five-Finger Mountain, but now she was slapped in the face. It turned out that she was the monkey who couldn't climb the Five-Finger Mountain.
In the office on the second floor of the castle, a pile of academic papers and advanced theories on transfiguration were thrown in front of Ada.
It would be quite easy for Ada to just read these words or understand their contents, but Professor McGonagall's requirement was to recite the entire text with emotion.
The key point is to recite the full text! And it has to be recited with emotion, which are all academic papers and various rules. How can this thing be emotional! I feel very melancholy, very melancholy...
If nothing else, Dumbledore could pin Ada to the ground and hammer her, but he just couldn't cure or control Ada. Professor McGonagall can only compete with Ada 50-50, but Professor McGonagall can eat Ada to death, leaving Ada with no temper at all.
The Easter holiday came in a flash, but this holiday failed to let Ada take a breather. Looking at the pile of homework, Ada thought that she was going to take the college entrance examination again.
There were also complaints in the common room, "This can be called a holiday, it can be called a festival!" Lee Jordan always muttered this sentence, and others also echoed his statement.
Not to mention Lee Jordan, after completing all the homework, Ada felt that her right hand no longer belonged to her, and that her right hand might have its own unique ideas.
The long-term high pressure makes the students facing the wizard level examination almost collapse, wishing that their parents could give them more brains and more hands.
Brain-refreshing potions and intelligence-enhancing potions have quietly become popular among students, which means that there is no Life No. 1 in the magic world. If there were, everyone would probably have a bottle.
There are more and more students endorsing in the common room, and everyone has an attitude of "don't leave, fight until dawn", but the champion of staying up late to study does not belong to any of the fifth, sixth, and seventh grade students. Miss Hermione Granger won the crown.
Hermione was always the first person to show up to study in the library and the last person to leave the common room and go back to her dormitory. Just by studying this hard, even Ada felt inferior to Hermione, which was really unacceptable.
Every time she saw Hermione studying hard, Ada would sigh, "It's great to be young," and occasionally she would sourly say, "I was like that when I was young."
During this time, Lupine and Sirius were unable to capture Peter, even with the help of the Marauder's Map.
Don't forget, Peter is also the maker of the Marauder's Map. Although he doesn't know that the map is now back in Lupine's hands, Peter must be on guard. And Hogwarts is huge, with plenty of places to hide a mouse.
Lady Luck is always on Peter's side. Lupine has discovered Peter a few times, but when the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor arrives, Peter has already left.
The elusive Peter Pedro is always one step ahead of Lupine.
I don't know whether I should say that Peter is lucky, or that Lupine and Sirius are unlucky. It's just a little bit different every time, and that's the most unacceptable thing.
The day before Easter, probably because they were worried that Hermione would die from overwork, Harry and Ron decided to take Hermione to the playground to relax, and handed the prepared information to Hagrid so that Hagrid could deal with the next appeal.
In the cabin next to the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid, Harry, and Ron discussed Buckbeak's appeal. Hermione looked for a milk jug in the cupboard and wanted to help make tea.
While looking for a milk jug, Hermione accidentally knocked over another jug. A mouse squeaked and slid out of the overturned jar, and its four short legs kicked as hard as it could to crawl back.
This time Lady Luck did not disappoint, she finally chose the right side, and the mouse that slipped out of the jar was Peter. Peter was thinner than before and had lost a lot of hair, revealing large bald spots.
Justice was late but arrived, he faked his death to escape, and after a lot of tricks, Peter was still discovered. Ron, who didn't know anything, was very happy. He held Peter in his hands like a treasure.
The mouse that Peter turned into twisted wildly in Ron's hands, trying desperately to break free from Ron's hands.
"Don't be afraid, Scabbers! There's no cat! There's nothing here that can hurt you." Ron comforted Peter gently. To be honest, Ron has never been so gentle to Hermione.
The three of them walked towards the castle along the sloping lawn. The setting sun was slowly sinking, and the sky turned into a clear gray-purple color, but there was still a ruby-like light in the western sky.
The closer he got to the castle, the more restless Peter became, screaming crazily, twisting hard, and trying to bite Ron's hand. And the silly Ron was still comforting the restless Peter.
Suddenly, a big ginger cat sprang out, its two big yellow eyes shining with strange fluorescence in the darkness.
"Crookshanks!" Hermione sighed, "Don't cause trouble, go away, Crookshanks! Go away!"
But the cat was getting closer, and Crookshanks was followed by the off-white galleon.
Peter struggled desperately and it bit Ron hard. Ron, who was in pain, only loosened his hand a little, and Peter immediately slipped out through his fingers, fell to the ground, and ran away quickly.
Crookshanks and Gallon jumped up and chased after him. A cat and a dog cooperated to drive Peter towards the Whomping Willow.
His beloved pet came back to life. Before Ron could enjoy the joy, his pet was about to die again. Ron, anxious, immediately followed him and disappeared into the night.
Hermione and Harry looked at each other and ran after them.
In the darkness, Harry seemed to see the big black dog he had seen before. The black dog was called "unknown" in the prophecy class.
