Chapter 98: Killing the God
The shaking void of ordinary warriors is just a point.
This point can be big or small, depending on the cultivation level.
But the shaking void of Tan Tai Zhen Xiao is a line.
Above the line, the space shakes and twists, ignoring any defense means, the so-called "shelter" or the solar field, can not be blocked.
This is different from tearing a line of void. The fist of the human immortal is like a blunt instrument, which eventually breaks the void and shatters the void, which is more suitable for fighting against the existence of immortals who have no fatal weakness. Since there is no vital point, then strike comprehensively without leaving any dead angle.
This is also one of the reasons why Jiang Da Zhenren failed to kill Itsumna with two consecutive swords. In addition to Itsumna's own high realm cultivation, the Shinto Golden Body is indeed unreasonable.
In various senses, immortals have the strongest survivability. The geographical advantage of the kingdom of God can avoid the heavenly calamity, the golden body has no weaknesses and can recover quickly, and there are three deaths, which make immortals very difficult to kill.
The best way to kill a god is not to kill him head-on, but to cut off the source of his divine power and let him die naturally. Without divine power, the golden body of a god will gradually decay, and he can only take unorthodox ways, such as using blood sacrifice, which will in turn lead to karma fire, drinking poison to quench thirst, and eventually lead to destruction.
Because of this, the Taoist sect has not been able to completely solve the problem of ancient immortals for so many years. Although the Taoist sect once gathered heavy troops and severely damaged Wu Luo, it was unable to do its best because of the support of Buddhism. Every time the Taoist sect dispatched a large army and drew great immortals, spiritual officials, etc., it was costly, so the Taoist sect gave up.
As for cutting off the source of the divine power of the ancient immortals, the Taoist sect has been doing it for many years, mainly to crack down on secret societies. However, due to the support of Buddhism, the problem has never been completely solved.
To put it bluntly, the problem of ancient immortals in the Taoist sect is essentially a problem of Buddhism. As long as Buddhism is still there, these external forces will not die. As long as Buddhism is defeated, the problem of ancient immortals will naturally be solved.
The problem of Buddhism is very far-reaching. Although the Xuansheng era defeated Buddhism with a heavy punch and forced Buddhism to sign a humiliating alliance, nominally submitting to Taoism, it is essentially similar to the expulsion of the Golden Horde by the Wei Dynasty. The Wei Dynasty only drove the Golden Horde out of the Central Plains, rather than destroying it. During the Wei Dynasty, the Golden Horde went south from time to time, and the two sides fought on and off.
The same is true for Taoism and Buddhism. Taoism disintegrated the Buddhist sect in the Central Plains, expelled the Buddhist sect in the Western Regions, and forced the Buddhist sects in Fenglinzhou and Nanyang to bow their heads. But Buddhism did not accept its fate and kept making small moves.
Although the Buddhist sect in the Central Plains became a memorial archway erected by the Taoist sect, its main function was to unify the three religions, but the Buddhist sect in the Central Plains was still unwilling and had always been in contact with the Buddhist sect in the Western Regions.
The war in the Western Regions led by Donghua Zhenren was nominally a war against Shamanism, and behind Shamanism was the Buddhist sect in the Western Regions.
The Nanyang United Dao Salvation Society was a bug
man who came forward to provoke the Taoist sect, and it was also supported by the Buddhist sect in Nanyang.
As for the Buddhist sect of Fenglinzhou, it goes without saying that they are important members of the Zunrong faction.
As the ancestral home of Buddhism, Posuozhou also has serious problems, but the Taoist sect has implemented military control there and hoarded heavy troops, so the Buddhist sect of Posuozhou dare not act rashly. However, the Buddhist sect of Posuozhou has always been colluding with the Holy Court in an attempt to govern itself. It's just that Posuozhou is too far away from the Central Plains, and there is little news from the Central Plains, so the sense of existence is low.
As for why the Taoist sect did not completely solve the Buddhist problem, the reason is not complicated.
The first is that the Taoist sect's policy has changed, focusing on economic development, which requires a stable environment, and it is not suitable to start a full-scale war like the dispute between Buddhism and Taoism. Local wars such as the Western Region War and the Fenglinzhou War cannot completely solve the Buddhist problem. It is just a temporary solution, not a fundamental solution.
The second is that the Taoist sect has indeed made great progress. The Taoist sect has become precious and does not want to fight with the relatively poor Buddhist sect. Taoism also looks down on Buddhism. Water flows to low places, and people go to high places. People in Buddhism see people in Taoism enjoying prosperity while they can only live in poverty. How can they not envy the huge gap in material things? Therefore, many Buddhists have been attracted to Taoism over the years and have been secretly flirting with it. Taoism changed its policy during the three generations of the Great Master and decided to focus on culture and supplement it with martial arts to completely solve the problem.
To put it bluntly, it is about discussing Taoism and chanting scriptures. We in Taoism say that Taoism is good, and you in Buddhism say that Buddhism is good. Who is better? Don't always talk nonsense.
Then let's compare.
Taoism is rich in the world. The Central Plains, the Western Regions, the South Seas, the overseas continents, and the southern continent are all the territories of Taoism. It divides the world with the Western Holy Court and is the master of the East.
What about Buddhism?
It is called the Western religion, and the Holy Court is the synonym of the West. Rooted in the East, picking up other people's wisdom in the three religions will only blow the conch.
What is facts speaking louder than words?
Every time when discussing Taoism, the Buddhist sect, which used to be stronger than the Taoist sect, always lost to the Taoist sect. The offensive and defensive forces were different.
No matter how the Buddhist masters chanted, we did not see how good the paradise was for ordinary Buddhist disciples, but we saw clearly how the Taoist priests were so majestic and enjoyed themselves.
Hearing is false, seeing is true. There are many people who are wavering in Buddhism. As long as the Taoist sect is willing to give them a chance, they are willing to work for the Taoist sect.
In order to fight against the corruption of Taoism, Buddhism also has some measures. One is to advocate asceticism, and ascetic monks are widely practiced.
Taoism, with unkempt hair and tattered clothes, must endure what ordinary people consider to be painful things in order to exercise willpower and detachment from desire. Second, it is closed internally, not allowing ordinary Buddhist disciples to see the prosperity of the outside world. These measures have been effective in a short period of time, but Buddhism has also stagnated.
In fact, Taoism has similar experiences. At that time, the Taoists had just experienced the thousands of miles of red land at the end of the Wei Dynasty and the decades-long dispute between Buddhism and Taoism. Finally, peace was just beginning and everything was in ruins. The Taoists who went to the west saw the prosperity of the Holy Court and were greatly shocked. The people inside were in turmoil, which made Taoism completely determined to stop fighting with Buddhism and focus on economic development.
After Taoism formulated a strategy of focusing on culture and supplementing martial arts based on its own experience and feelings, the effect was immediate. There were people close to Taoism in all continents overseas, and they spontaneously turned to Taoism. Taoism took the opportunity to promote Central Plainsization and gained a lot.
It is easy to say that you want to break the trick, but it is difficult to do it. That is to develop oneself, and if one is not inferior to Taoism in terms of material, one will naturally gradually lose interest in Taoism.
The strength of culture and doctrine often comes from the strength of economy.
This is a very simple human nature problem. People always want to be higher. When people live, they must first think, that is, hope, and secondly, they must be vain. No matter how hard it is, as long as they are better than others, they will be happy.
The development problem is simple to say, but it requires several generations of people to endure hardships, as well as great courage and superb means to truly implement it.
Take Buddhism as an example. If you want to develop, you must release the ban and face the "corrosion" problem of Taoism. What if you are killed by Taoism before you develop? What if you are disintegrated from the inside by Taoism before you develop? This depends on the courage and means of the top leaders of Buddhism.
Now it seems that Buddhism does not have this courage or ability. Their doctrines are essentially just big cakes. All good things are in the afterlife and in the paradise. If everyone pursues a good rebirth, who cares about the present? Who will still struggle?
Taoism is different. Taoism has always sought this life, not the afterlife, so it seeks immortality. In addition, Taoism pointed out from the beginning that realistic factors such as law, companions, wealth, and land are indispensable things. Unlike Buddhism, it does not advocate taking suffering as an honor. Therefore, Taoism has the motivation to seek better development and a better present.
Therefore, Taoism did not use force to solve the problem of Buddhism. Killing people is inferior, and destroying the heart is superior.
Back to the topic, no matter how difficult it is to kill immortals, it does not mean that they cannot be killed.
This time, Taoism dispatched three immortals, and they were three top immortals ranked at the top, which can be regarded as giving Itsumna enough face.
How can Itsumna not die?
After the great immortal Tantai shook a line of void, Itsumna's golden body
was also completely distorted, and the structure was no longer stable, turning into a state of gathering and dispersing.
It's like a neat military formation was disrupted and turned into a rout.
The Heavenly Master held the "Qingyun" again. Although he could not combine the two swords, for the Heavenly Master, just one sword was enough.
Master Jiang controlled the "Shuntian Sword" and slashed out the third sword.
Almost at the same time, the Heavenly Master also drew his sword.
The two immortals relied on their own cultivation, extensive knowledge, and rich experience to force the two swords to combine.
A mighty sword light fell from the sky, covering the already defeated Itsumna.
Itsumna continued to condense into a human form, and was constantly defeated into a twisted and scattered state.
The newly resurrected King of the Ancient Gods is inevitably heading towards the next death.
Itsumna barely condensed into a head, and his body had completely turned into a twisted shadow, struggling to speak.
"I am willing to surrender!"
"Let me go."
"Don't..."
The Heavenly Master and Master Jiang were completely indifferent and continued to urge the sword light.
The One Tribulation Immortal is too dangerous. The Taoist sect can seal and suppress such an existence, but it is basically impossible to control it. In this case, Itsumna can only die. The Dao Sect cannot leave such a hidden danger.
The sword light became stronger and stronger, and Itsumna's figure was gradually swallowed by the sword light, and only a vague black shadow could be seen.
The mighty sword light rippled with layers of huge ripples, constantly sweeping across the cave.
The black shadow under the sword light became smaller and smaller, and finally disappeared completely.
Until this time, Tianshi and Jiang Dazhenren each put away their sword lights.
So far, the God was successfully killed, demonstrating the power of the Dao Sect.
Under the perception of the three immortals, Itsumna could not play any tricks of faking death.
Tianshi threw "Qingyun" to Qi Xuansu again, and it slowly dissipated. After all, it was just a projection, not the real body.
Jiang Dazhenren and Dan Tai Dazhenren descended in their real bodies.
Dan Tai Dazhenren flew to the Kingdom of God, and Jiang Dazhenren was not in a hurry to go back, but came to Qi Xuansu's side.
At this time, Qi Xuansu had already found Wu Niang who had been shot down. As expected of a woman who had once resisted the "Tai Yi Fa Jue", Wu Niang was not in serious condition, but her life was not hanging by a thread.
Qi Xuansu saw Master Jiang coming over and hurriedly took the initiative to salute.
Master Jiang waved his hand to indicate that Qi Xuansu did not need to be polite, and his eyes fell on Wu Niang.
