I Was Expelled From Hogwarts?

Chapter 27 The True Owner of the Horcrux

Standing at the dilapidated entrance of Nurmengard, Dumbledore spoke slowly about his and Grindelwald's past in a vicissitudes of life voice.

"Two like-minded guys, after meeting, became close friends, inseparable all day long... closer than brothers."

"We planned to leave Godric's Hollow together and embark on the journey to find the Deathly Hallows."

"But my brother disagreed. He said we still had a sick, poor sister to take care of. He begged me to stay. We quarreled and refused to give in."

Dumbledore sighed, his eyes complicated:

"Aberforth foolishly pulled out his wand, and even more foolishly, I also pulled out my wand."

"Including Grindelwald, the three of us were fighting in a melee, and no one noticed Ariana going downstairs."

Dumbledore lowered his eyelids, deeply affectionate and sad:

"I'm not sure whose spell it was, but it doesn't matter anymore. Ariana was standing there the second before, and fell to the ground the next second... killed."

Rove looked at the slightly hunched old figure and sighed softly.

Although he knew the inside story a long time ago, he was still filled with emotion when he heard the old man slowly tell this painful past.

That summer,

Dumbledore was 18 years old and Grindelwald was 16 years old. The two most talented teenagers in the magic world met at the most prosperous age. They should have produced the most brilliant fruits, but it was ruined by an accident that no one wanted to see.

If they had met earlier or later, perhaps everything would be different.

It can only be said that they did meet in each other's best years, but not at the most appropriate age for each other.

The two quickly walked into the castle, and Rolf looked around:

The hall was huge and wide, and many places were almost decayed and dilapidated. The walls and rows of wooden beams were covered with lichens and purple moss.

They walked up the stairs, and many halls, rooms, arches and grooved columns appeared. Gray moss gathered into huge moss hills on these buildings.

The windows of the tower were still entangled by black vines, and the vines climbed out of the door, climbed up the archway, and climbed up the high stone wall.

The environment here is even worse than Azkaban and Exta Prison!

It was hard for Rolf to imagine that the witch party that frightened the wizarding world once gathered here, and it was even harder to imagine that someone could survive here for more than half a century, and that person was still...

Grindelwald!

They came to the top floor of the tower and continued to walk forward. The footsteps echoed strangely and unevenly in the long corridor.

There were doors in the corridor, some of which were closed, and many were open a crack. All the rooms were abandoned.

Finally, Dumbledore stopped at the door of the room in the corner. The door had a house number, but it had faded and was almost unrecognizable.

Dumbledore stood at the door, paused for a moment, and then slowly pushed the door open.

An old man in a thin gray robe stood alone by the window. He was as thin as a skeleton, his cheeks shrank inward, and his eye sockets were sunken inward.

"Albus, long time no see." The old man's old lips slightly curled up, revealing a toothless mouth.

"I thought you would never come again."

Grindelwald smiled when he saw Dumbledore, and every wrinkle and gap on his dry and weathered face seemed to emit a strange glow.

Dumbledore deliberately avoided his eyes, but lowered his head and whispered to Rolf: "He is Gellert Grindelwald."

Rolf stared at Grindelwald.

When the first Dark Lord was young, he was an extremely handsome man, but now he is just an old man in his twilight years. Only his deep blue eyes can still vaguely see his former charm.

"Hello, my name is Rolf Scamander."

Grindelwald looked at the boy with interest. On his wrinkled face, his eyes shone like polished sapphires.

"Oh, you are Newt's grandson? I've heard Albus talk about you many times. Has he ever told you about me before?"

Rolf was a little embarrassed for a moment, and glanced at Dumbledore from the corner of his eye.

In fact, the headmaster had never mentioned Grindelwald in front of him before, otherwise he would not have been unaware that the basilisk had been sent here.

The boy had to blink and avoid the question: "My grandfather has talked about you many times. He said that you have been friends for decades."

"Newt? Your grandfather and I are not friends for half a Galleon." Grindelwald said bluntly: "He also stole something precious from me back then."

Rolf smiled embarrassedly. Grindelwald should be talking about the blood alliance pendant that the Niffler stole.

That is indeed the... token of love between Grindelwald and Dumbledore.

Dumbledore interrupted their conversation and asked, "Where is the basilisk?"

"I put it in hibernation," Grindelwald said, "You know, I don't have any food to feed it."

"So how did you investigate?"

"I followed the soul in the basilisk and checked his memories. Most of them were entangled with the basilisk and were very confused." Grindelwald said.

"I had to use a lot of highly skilled Legilimency to lure it out, and finally extracted the memory of making the Horcrux... Do you want to see it?"

Dumbledore nodded.

Grindelwald raised his arm, and a skull pipe floated over from the corner.

The skull pipe is a precious alchemical item similar to the Pensieve.

The function of the Pensieve is to put memories in the basin so that others can go in and watch.

The skull pipe projects the brain's images in the form of a short video by inhaling and exhaling magic smoke.

Grindelwald picked up the pipe, took a deep breath through the tube, and then began to exhale.

A huge painting with bright colors seemed to spread out from between his lips and extended to the stone ceiling.

What came into view was a huge circular pit from the outside to the inside, from white to gray, from gray to black, and from black to red.

There were two wizards at the bottom of the pit.

Rolf recognized the wizard lying on the ground at a glance, and he murmured:

"Professor Rowena Ravenclaw."

Beside Ravenclaw, there was a man and a circling basilisk.

The man waved his wand, pointed it at himself, and shouted:

"Soul Breaker, Anda Jones!"

As the spell ended, he let out a painful roar, and heavy shadows gathered on the ground, and slowly and silently crawled in the moonlight.

Finally, the shadow split into another shadow, which stood up, rushed towards the basilisk, and drilled into its body.

The basilisk hissed, but in the end a piece of soul was sealed in its body.

Rolf watched this scene quietly, and he had completely understood it.

After Slytherin killed Ravenclaw, he used the basilisk to make a... Horcrux.
